I have a Jenn-air range and one of the burners is not igniting when I use the controls. It still makes a clicking noise but no flames. It will work when I use a match.
I have the Jenn-air prg3010 gas range. The front simmer burner will not ignite. For a few weeks it would click and if I lit it with a match and a short time later tried with the control, it would light. BUT, after a while it wouldn't even click and the only way is to light it now is with a match/lighter. The other 3 burners ignite perfectly. Cleaning around the igniter did not solve my problem. Range is 4 yrs old and I can't afford to call in a repairman. Any ideas please?I have the Jenn-air prg3010 gas range. The front simmer burner will not ignite. Sometimes there is "leak" on the cable - the insulation breaks down some place else some the clicking sound is heard but no lighting. Look to see if the arching is at the electrode beside the burner - if it is then try cleaning the electrode and the areas around the burner so as to give better conduction to thr frame o the stove

There are several possible reasons why your Jenn-air JGS9900 gas range may not have power:
Tripped Circuit Breaker: Check the circuit breaker for the range in your home's electrical panel to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it.
Loose Electrical Connection: Check the power cord connection to the range to make sure it is secure. Also, check the wiring connections behind the range to ensure they are properly connected.
Blown Fuse: If your range has a fuse, check to see if it has blown. You may need to replace it.
Faulty Control Board: The control board is responsible for supplying power to the range's electronic components. If the control board is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
Faulty Igniter: If the burners are not igniting, the igniter may be faulty and need to be replaced.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
took off the knob to the ignition system to clean and spray got onto the ignition under the dial and now the two front burners won't ignite unless I turn on one of the functional back burners then turn on the front burner. How do I repair this?
I had the same issue with washing the top with water and cleaning solution. I had arching, eventually one burner failed to ignite. I tried the above solution and it did not work. Remove the ceramic top on the burner that will not ignite. Turn on another working element. Do you see the igniter working?
If so slowly turn on the gas on the failed burner and it will ignite. I'm looking into what component automatically controls the igniting and gas release when the knob is turned on.
If it is only happening with one burner, the switch on that valve needs to be replaced. If it does it with all the burners it is a problem with the spark module or control.
