Try disable your antivirus first and firewall like Norton or McAffe. They seem to block this kind of application. Download another version of flash player and reinstall it. If you can use a different browser like Mozilla Firefox, try it as well.

are you installing from a download or from a CD? I am not sure why you are installing an older version which lacks updates and patches. Here is a link to the newest version. Once again you have to completely remove the old one including trace files.

Hi,
Many times either the program will not work if you delete an earlier update or version. One also might be the original file and the other an update - then you must keep them both for it to work.
Try downloading 'CCLEANER' it is free - just say no when asked to donate - then you can donate later if you like it. IT is FREE --
download -READ the instructions and run CCLEANER - run the tools - - there are more than one and then your pc will run faster too. you can run the remove program in CCLEANER too. I use it - it is great.
Let me know if you need further instructions.

you have an older install in the system that the activation was suspended, have to delete all the preferences in the system for this program
