When the laptop is powered on,it says no operating system found and does
not get started........
This is caused by :-
1. Your hard disk has failed.
2. Your BIOS settings for the hard drive has been altered
3. Your hard drive has been wiped or someone or a virus program that has deleted critical files.
Go into your BIOS setup to check the hard disk settings, if possible see if it will auto detect the hard drive.
Also boot up with a DOS disk run FDISK to see if you can detect a hard disk, partitions etc.
If the hard disk appears OK you may be able to do a disk repair, most likely you would need to re-install the operating system and the laptop drivers for video, audio, LAN, modem etc.

The VGN TX650P laptop was giving problems of bootup after it fell down. We opened the same to find if the hard disc was fine or some other breakage was there. We did not find anything wrong. On asembly when you put it on -
1. it doesnot come on from the on button easily, and when it comes on it sayd Operating syste not found but we can see the hard disc icon flashing and then stopping.
2. It cones on from the AV mode but says the operating plane is not available and restart the system. Press any key to close.
What could be wrong ?
