Check the condenser is clean, and the inside not iced up. Is there a fan inside? Check all is operating normally. When you say it is not cold enough, what temperature are you trying to reach? For keeping / storing wine, 8 to 10 c should be fine. For chilling before drinking, take the wine to a domestic fridge to get it to 4c

Candy wine cooler CCV 150BL will not auto defrost why

Hello Kim Carey,

Wine coolers are actually just like every other refrigerator
(just smaller (designs do vary)).

They even share common parts: AUTO DEFROST
is a very common point of failure...

I tried to pull up you "mini-frig" to offer parts houses (spares)
but got prices back in Pounds... (So I'm guessing you can have better success than I... from here (USA, Cali... SF/Napa)...

Try searching for spares with
"spares Candy wine cooler CCV-150BL"

In any case... Three things can cause a DEFROST FAILURE
- DEFROST TIMER
- HEATER ELEMENT
- DEFROST THERMOSTAT

If you can check your parts list... get your ORIGINAL
numbers from your manufacturer. BEFORE buying any parts...

If you want to trouble shoot there are some really easy things to check... Do take pictures before you start... a simple wire mix-up and your cute little wine cooler gets MAGICALLY turned into an expensive wine rack... (consider having a service person)...
((then break it yourself for free)).

The timer is a simple clock motor and a couple of contacts
(keeping in mind there are HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES and moving FAN blades inside MOST wine coolers ... Use a marker and put a dot on the timer center shaft (red in this picture) and the body... if those dots don't change (move apart) after a few hours your timer motor is the trouble... Take a picture and make noted of which color is on what TERMINAL.

I'm going to put up some USA PARTS as a visual aid
THESE ARE NOT YOUR PARTS...
and you will need a volt meter & circuit DRAWING to do further testing... Look right on the back of the COOLER or in your
original owners documents.

Comment me back if you want to continue...
There a very simple test you should perform before EVER putting a NEW DEFROST THERMOSTAT in your unit...

I'll be around. Good luck...!!
Be safe... (unplug that thing before putting your hand in there).

Why does My marvel 61WCM wine fridge turn on but right away off again?

First make sure it is not plugged into an extension cord. Low voltage could cause this type of problem. If you have it plugged directly in ,It is probably the compressor or overload relay on the compressor. You can bypass the thermostat to see if it is the problem, by first unplugging the device, then removing the wires from the thermostat, and jumping them together. Then plug it in If it still acts the same way the problem is in the compressor or overload relay mounted on the compressor. Sometimes the relay can be purchased and replaced or a hard start might work solve your problem.

Wine fridge is not getting cold anymore

Its really hard to determine without proper diagnosis, but are you sure it indeed has a compressor? does it run ? Does it have a circulating fan inside? A lot of the wine coolers I've dealt with were "Peltier" coolers. They use electronics to cool usually only to about 10deg below room temp. They require a load ( in this case wine bottles ) to operate properly. They don't have a cold control like a refrigerator.

I have an Oster 12-bottle wine celler model OWO912H6H that was a Christmas gift in 2007. I just noticed the temperature is 98 degrees and I cannot get it to come down with the down button. I am very...

Hi, could be faulty thermostat, can you check compressor, is compressor running (working), listen to compressor for clicking sound, unplug it(switched off) for about 20 minutes, replug and let it run (work) for another 20 mins. see if temp. drops, what about temp. inside bottle (wine) cooler, is it 98 or colder, more info. could be valuable. check thermostat, check to see if compressor operates, if cooler temp. 98. remove you products, to another cooler, call mechanic.

How do you use a breville wc15xl wine chiller

HOW TO USE

First you place the Wine Cooler on a flat, dry surface, making sure that the timer is in the "off" position.

Remove the chill cells from the freezer and place around the inside of the cooler.

Thirdly, place the bottle inside the cooler and then pour cold tap water inside, until it just covers the top of the chill cells.

You can then plug the unit in, or if it has batteries you don't need to.

Finally, you set the control dial to the desired time. The following are recommendations for different types of beverages:

Sparkling Wine, Champagne and Dessert Wine.....9 minutes

Dry Wines, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling.....6 minutes

Chardonnay, Rose'....5 minutes

Light Red Wines, Pinot Noir....3.8 minutes

Full Bodied Reds, Shiraz, Grenache, Cab Sauvignon, Merlot....3 minutes

If you choose to chill a beverage without the timer, you just turn the control to the left and when you are done you turn it to the off position.

In addition to wine, the cooler can also chill beer and soft drinks. The only limitation is that the bottle diameter can be no more than 3.75 inches.

Should you wish to chill two or more consecutive bottles, the cells will remain cold enough for you to to do so.

While not in use, the cooler can also be used on the table with ice to keep your beverages cold (much like a regular ice bucket).

The power cord is removable, which makes for an easy clean-up.

The unit comes with a manufacturer's One-Year Limited Warranty.

Vinotemp VT-16TEDS has light on but doesn't cool

First check the grating over the fan in the back. If it is covered with dust, there won't be enough air flow and the unit won't cool. Clean the dust off and see if it cools back down. It may take a long time to cool down if it is full of wine, so I recommend taking the wine out to test if it works.
