Loud bang and fusing dishwasher

I have a NEFF integrated dishwasher which is intermittently tripping the mains fuse.

Power is getting to dishwasher and the washing cycles work until a certain point (not the same time) where a loud bang can be heard and the main fuse is tripped. Reset the main fuse and power still gets to the dishwasher and it works again.

It has just started to trip the fuse when its not running any cycle (just when power is getting to it).

I've checked the fuse on the spur and it looks ok. I have yet to move the dishwasher out as its integrated but wondered if anyone had any ideas before I call out a plumber or electrician !!

thanks Yan

Has the door got any heavier, as mine started tripping the electrics when a spring broke and short circuited the connections.
f so you will have to get the spring out, from the underneath is best and replace it if you want the door to work correctly again. On mine the second one went a month later.

My Neff microwave has lost all power. It tripped the main switch at my fuse box. I have re-set the switch but still no power. Any ideas. Is there a fuse in the microwave and if so where is it?

There are two or more fuses on microwaves, but when they cut the power feed it is for something, if you bridge them you will find that your oven doesn't work properly, it will make weird noises and produce a power low in your home. If you want to check it, the main fuse use to be inside a plasitc tube with two wires on it's edges, one conected to a big condensator, and another one to the inner circuit.

Sticking programme

Hi,
This could be a problem with the controller as it is not waiting for water to warm before continuing.
Water element should be checked, as well as the water thermostat switch (which may be stuck on), possibly a substitute timer fitted to make sure you replace the right part.

Your oven should be connecting individually to its own fuse in the fuse board.

Faulty Diplomat Dishwasher - tripping mains fuse

Hello,

My dishwasher a diplomat 12 program (hja8640) was doing exactly the same where every now and again when turned on at the plug it would trip. After engineers coming out several times and failing to fix it, they condemed it. New one was supplied, however did exactly the same thing. The electrician came back, checked the RCD power breaker and this was fine. It was then discovered that some dishwashers and washing machines send out a lot of earth leakage, combine this with other appliances on in the house can be enough to trip.

Soloution. The electrician removed the kitchen circut from the RCD breaker and intalled another breaker RCD just for the kitcehn loop, this therefore means that the kitchen has a seperate trip from the rest of the house, and touch wood, has solved the problem. This mind you has taken about three months to work out so i hope it saves you some time.

Always use a fully qualified electrician though.

Thanks.

Loud Bang and Projector no londger works

If the internal fuse has blown, if you connect the power lead loosely and move it about, you should not be able to hear any crackling sound of electricity. If you do then it is more likely something else other that the internal fuse. Generally, a loud bang is either the fuse or lamp.
