When using the ADF, Scans first page correct but the second page onwards are junk horizontal lines when saving multiple pages
SOURCE: ADF
There is something on the small slit glass. There should be 2 pieces of glass on the copier. One where you place your original, and the other is a small slit glass about a 1/2" width by 9" long. Check the small glass to see if there is anything like a spot of black INK or a dot of white out on there. There is something on the small piece of glass that is causing your line problem.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Scanner saves multiple pages separately, need saved as one
hi,
thats very easy, i believe so ur trying to scan from the printer itself becoz that happens if u try to scan from the printer itself, instead of that use the solution center software.
if u have installed the complete software which was provided by hp, u will a icon on ur desktop called solution center, click on that and click on the scan document button on it and u get a pop window in that select the file type as PDF and click on scan at the bottom of the window and once it completes the scan, it will give a message do want to scan another page, click yes and go ahead with that........
i think i have answered ur query..............

Based on the assumption it's mechanically ok, check the cable connection between the document feeder and the base, if damaged or worked look it can cause errors. If it is a sensor error, check for a small bit of paper or even a staple from a prior jam.

Hi,
If your printer is connected in the Network and you are able to print fine than there is no communication Error.
In htan case if you are not able to scan then you need to upgrade the firmware of the printer and install it and i m sure your printer wiill scan scanning on the Network.
Mentioned below is the link to download the latest firmware of the printer.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3442750&prodNameId=3442754&swEnvOID=228&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ma-70811-2
However before you start sending firmware to the printer you need to make sure that printer driver is installed on the PC.
Thanks and Regards

This article provides the self-diagnostic
steps necessary to evaluate top-to-bottom streaks that appear when
copying or scanning.
Important! This is seldom a scanner hardware failure.
The main reason for this anomaly is debris or marks on the scanner glass that is used for Auto document feeder (ADF) page scans.
