Install wireless card wireless network interface controller

The wireless Adapter Card should have come with instructions....
If not, then it is fairly simple if you have the 'driver' CD.
1. Load the driver CD and follow the Instructions to load the drivers.
2. Shut-down the PC.
3. With the Power to the PC OFF, UN-plug the Power-cord to the PC.
4. Insert the Wireless Card into an expansion slot on the motherboard that fits the type of Card you have....DO NOT attempt to 'force' it into a different-slot.
5. Close it up and Plugg it in and power it on.

Note: SOME wireless cards require that the Card be installed BEFORE the drivers.

for more specific details, the make/model of the wireless card is needed.

Wireless button

The T30 laptops do not have a on/off button that turns the wireless card on.
Once the wireless card driver is installed the wireless card will detect any wireless router and access point within its range. You need to configure the wireless card to connect into the wireless router or access point eg. the encryption, SSID etc.
The Thinkpad laptops have different wireless LAN cards installed, when you install a wireless card driver and it doesn't work, then install a different model wireless card driver. Also make sure the XP or Vista version of the wireless driver matches the Windows version that is installed on the laptop.

Believe u r talking about updating ur drivers for the wireless card...
right click on my computer--->click manage--->click device manager on left hand side on the window that opens---->click the + sign next to network adapters----> right click on wireless adapter----> click update driver

any driver installation is free or u can log onto the official website of 2wire... look for drivers matching ur wireless card... download & install
would suggest, while installing driver after downloading should plug out the usb wireless adapter.

Sony VAIO internal wireless driver causes computer to lock up

There is a possibility you have a faulty wireless card. I would go with a external PCMCIA wireless card. Don't forget to disable the internal wireless card in the BIOS.

Not finding my wireless card

You don't have the right driver, finding the right wireless driver can be a pain. Open the panel on the bottom and get the make and model of the wireless card. Then go to Lenovo's support site and read what card each driver covers, find the driver for that specific card and install it. If it still doesn't work, go to driverguide.com and search for the driver by the wireless card make and model. At this point, if the card still isn't working, then you may need a new card.

Wireless internet problem

Hi

I think your Operating System (OS) software installed after formatting does not have drivers for the wireless network card.

You did not provide any clues about the OS and the Network (Model/Brand) installed.

Dell Inspiron 6000 did ship with Windows XP as the Default OS and Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450,1390, 1490, and 1500 series Mini Card or Intel PRO Wireless 2200BG, 2915ABG Wireless LAN Mini Cards as options

First, check the Original System Configuration to find out the built specification of the Inspiron 6000.
Enter you system tag. Click on the Original System Configuration Tab. Check the factory built specification and note the Wireless Card installed from the factory. If you have not changed or upgraded the Wireless Card, download and install the drivers from the list below.

Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450,1390, 1490, and 1500 series Mini Card Drivers
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG / 2915ABG Wireless LAN Mini Card Drivers

I am almost sure you will need drivers for the Chipset, onboard network and video.
Intel Mobile Chipset
Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller Driver v.4.25
Video (as above check the factory spec if you ordered the ATI MobilityRadeon X300)
Intel Graphics Video (onboard) Driver v.6.14.10.4609
ATI MobilityRadeon X300 Driver v.8.162-050803a2-025823C

Let me know how you get on.

Wireless

Roy:
Seems like you are installing LAN driver but want to enable Wireless NIC? In order for your Wireless built in card to work you must look for wireless NIC card drivers. Also make sure once you install wireless driver go into device manager and look for your wireless card. Is there a sign of exclamation or cross over it, is any problem with it?. Check if the wirless card is disabled, go into start, connect to, show all connections, right click over your wireless card, properties, configure, check if the card Radio is ON or OFF. Let me know please.
Thanks.
