Pictures have poor color

Are you having a problem with your easyshare 5300 printer , i have only had mine about 4 months and my pictures have a very poor print quality to them they come out greenish or start green strip at top and then print. i have wasted 2 color ink cartriges trying to get it to print correctly, i have cleaned the print heads and do this before i print each picture i wouldnt think i would have to clean them this often right now i am not very happy with this printer its costing me to much ink , let me know if this is an ongoing problem and what you plan to do about it.
from some of the other complaints i have read about i would say it is a problem

The color is terrible! REds look pink! I've cleaned it over and over nothing works! All colors look faded after print! This is unreal! Kodak need to update a fix!

After changing print cartridge for the first time all prints come out pinkish and faded. Running the print calibration sequence has no effect.

This is common problem in this printer.many of the customers face this problem.the option to avoid this problem is to get your printer serviced every two months so the ink will not remain collected in the printer.and will work properly.
thanks.

We have had our Kodak Easyshare 5300 for about two years and I don't feel it has ever worked right. The photo print quality is poor, even though we've replaced the print head, put in countless new ink...

First thing to do is to try updating the firmware of the printer, just make sure that your printer is idle and has no error before proceeding, you can get the update at www.kodak.com/go/dowloads if you still have the same issue after that try deep cleaning the printhead 2x

Kodak easyshare 5300 all in one printer

I had the same problem from new , all printing was very poor and a pinkish colour, I contacted Kodak and they sent me a replacement printhead and new printcartridges free of charge. The printheads appear to be a common fault with the Kodak printer , mine is a 5300. As soon as I replaced the print head all printing was extremely good and correct colours!! the print catridges appear cheap but run out very quickly also! the 6x4 printing is easy to use however but next time I would choose another make. hope this helps . Phone Kodak and explain you have not used the printer , I am sure they are aware of the manufacturing fault with this printers printhead!! I am told some people have had the printhead changed a number of times in succession.

Poor color on home printed photos

hmm..no blue, eh? that means that one of your print head cartidge lines is clogged. Sounds like time for a new cartridge tray, which you can access through www.kodak.com

Kodak 5300 not printing colors

Kodak told me to take the printhead off and reseat it several times, which I did. I then deep cleaned it, calibrated it, and replaced the color cartridge. It didn't solve the problem. Kodak will replace the printhead for free, and after I return the defective one, will send me a free color and black cartridge. Very nice service. I've been very happy with the 5300.
