SOURCE: Wii will not turn on. No power to console

I had an odd experience with this. After a power glitch, where there was a power failure that lasted just a second or two, my Wii would not turn on. It acted as though the power supply failed completely.

While I was trying to get to the power supply behind the TV, the phone rang and a neighbor was calling to borrow my Wii's power supply since he thought his might have failed. So obviously both of ours was affected by the power glitch, The happy news was that he called a bit later and told me that after leaving it unplugged from the outlet (the mains, for you europeans) for a period of time, it started working again when he plugged it back in.

So for those that encounter this, try that before hunting down a replacement.

SOURCE: I accidentally plugged my wii

wow that sucks, try going to gamestop in the morning and getting either a new or refurb/used one for about $20. hopefully you just blew the ac adapter and not the wii. also check to make sure you didnt trip the breaker the wii is on (check the breaker box/s around the house).

Wii won't turn on.

Reset the AC adapter by following steps below.

1. Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the
Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

2. After you've waited a full 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter back in on both ends and check to see if the power light comes on.

Wii has no power whatsoever going in

The button has to be pressed until you see the light come on try using the wimote power button on the upper left corner hold it until you see the light if its yellow its in standby if its green its on you should see the disk entry area turn blue a sec when it comes on. Then it should be green on the power light if no lights in just a couple or 3 seconds holding it down you may have 2 bad wii's in a row. If you take it back ask them if they have a test model on the floor and tell them to show you exactly how it works to power on and off.

Chmy wii console or ACadaptor hve a problem,on console power button turns red but whenI press it to start it doesnt turn green but red light goes off what wrong with it?

Leave the wii unplugged overnight to remove any static electricity that might be interfering with the powering of the console.
If that does not work, try and follow nintendo's power troubleshooter: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/power.jsp#no_power

My wii turns on and the television says that there is no signal but my turns on because y see the power buttons light turn green. Also the wii receives messages because the disc slot turns on then blue...

Make sure you AVI(yellow, red, white)cables are pushed in all the way or you might have it on the wrong channel or you put the AVI cables in a differnt place than last time.

My wii works but my controler dosent show up on the screen but the buttons work i need help

Usaully,
I don't know about the Wii but I know what happens with the light on the Wii

Green - The Wii Console is on

Yellow - You are connected to Wiiconnect24. It's harsh not to keep the "Yellow" light on because it could overheat the Wii Console. So if it's "Yellow", put your finger on the "Power" Button and keep it there for a long time. When you push it, it will start with Yellow then turn to Green then keep the finger there for a while then will turn to Red

Red - The Wii Console is off

Blue - You are connected to Wiiconnect24. When it turns Blue, It means you are getting a message from the Wii Console or on Standby Mode

Console will not turn on. light is neither red or

Since you said the light isnt red or green im assuming its not glowing at all, and in that case you most likely over worked your adapter like i did. All you need to do is unplug the cord thats connected to a gray box from your Wii, and follow the cord out the other side and unplug it from the wall. The gray box is the adapter and if you leave it unplugged for a couple hours then hook it back up to the wii, the light should come back on, although in my case the light is now yellow when its off instead of red.

Wii standby light

To be precise, you can turn this option off from the Wii System settings -> Wii Connect 24 -> standby connection -> off

When this setting is swiched to off, your console shuts down entirely and there is a RED light on the power button. There will be no need to turn off the console pressing the power button.
