Indicators keep blowing fuses Hazards ok

Ignition on, indicator Sw off, meter reading 15-20 amps. then indicator Sw on indicators work for a few min then pop. Remove fuse panel can see melted insulation on wire coming from indicator fuse. How do I get the wire out of the fuse board (there are no visable screws) and where dose it go. I asume this wire goes to the indicator Sw and is down to earth?

Ignition Coil Relay fuse keeps blowing. Have replaced it three times. Any ideas on what could be causing it to blow?

Check the flasher unit, there should be at least two screws holding the fuse box in place, when you get it out you can use a small screw driver to press on the top of the wire connector in the box to remove it from the box.

THE WIRES ARE NORMALLY PUSH ON LIKE SPEAKER WIRES BUT IF IT IS MELTED THERE IS A SHORT IN THE WIRE SOMEWHERE IT COMES OUT OF FUSE BOX THEN TO RELAY UNIT THEN FROM RELAY TO SWITCH THE RELAY MIGHT BE FAULTY CAUSING WIRES TO HEAT UP RELAYS ARE LOCATED IN FUSE BOX THERE IS ALWAYS MORE THAN ONE SO SWAP FOR ANOTHER RELAY REPLACE FUSE AND TRY LIGHTS AGAIN TO SEE IF THE RELAY IS THE PROBLEM HOPE THIS HELPS GLENN

Where is the relay or unit for the indicator flasher?

I can tell you that my relays are under the hood, enclosed in a water tight box that is labeled on the inside with a diagram of the placement.

VW Transporter, replaced the indicator stalk/switch but indicators

make sure the multi plug connection is in right ,if still no joy then unplug it and try the hazards ,if they work without the unit plugged in then check for a feed to the multiplug .if hazards do not work with multiplug disconnected then you have faulty switch or the wrong one

I think the hazards and the indicators function on different relays. If the indicator switch is working ok then the relay is probably not working.
