Please contact Lexmark Technical Support and let them know that you need two replacement cartridges for the two defective ones you have.
Make sure that you purchased factory new Lexmark cartridges, not cartridges that have been refilled and repackaged by a third party company.

I would try cleaning the metal carriage, also clean the cartridge contacts behind the cartridge. (let dry) Please turn printer off before servicing.

I suggest you uninstall the Lexmark software by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 6600 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Then, restart pc. If you're connected via the USB cable, unplug the Lexmark printer from your computer. Once pc is on, check if your Vista is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. To reinstall, I recommend you use the updated driver from the Lexmark website. For the driver, just click on this link: http://bit.ly/bABYA9 (for 32-bit) or this link: http://bit.ly/bYPUEK (for 64-bit). Download and install the software. Follow the instructions. Hope the helps.
