Why are the menu settings that I changed not being saved? A. The TV is in Showroom mode. The following steps will help you switch to Home mode.

  1. Press Menu button from the remote,
  2. Press Down arrow key until you see the word Picture, then press the Right arrow key,
  3. Press Down arrow key until you see Mode, then press the Right arrow key,
  4. Press Down arrow key until you see Power Up, then press the Right arrow key,
  5. Press Down arrow key until you see Home, then press the Enter key,
  6. Press Menu button four times to exit out from the OSD Menu.
***Showroom mode is designed for retailers to display the TV and to protect from shoppers changing the settings that are predetermined for shelf display environment.***

Have bought a second hand philips 28pw6506, it has no remote control. Do you know how to change the aspect ratio or size of picture on screen? Have looked through the menus with the button on top of the...

Hello
To change its picture aspect ratio, you have to go to its menu. As you haven't its remote control there is an option for that, mentioned in its user manual. I hereby send it to you. Do the same and access the aspect ratio.

The television set has 4 keys which are located

on the front or the top of the set depending
on the model.

The VOLUME - + (- Vol +) keys are used to

adjust sound levels.The PROGRAM - + (- P +)

keys are used to select the required programmes.

To access the menus, simultaneously hold down

the VOL- and VOL+ keys.The PROGRAM - +

keys may then be used to select an adjustment

and the - VOL+ keys to make that adjustment.

To exit from the menus, hold down the 2 VOL-

and VOL+ keys.

Note: when the Child Lock function is activated,
these keys are unavailable
OK.

27 inch Zenith TV Vertical too big

If you are using a DTV coverter box, you may have changed the aspect ratio with your remote control. look for a button marked "aspect" or "picture size" use that to change size.
If you have a cable box, you may have a similar button.
Or you may find a picture size adjustment on your TV remote.
If you do not have "aspect" button on your remote try going to set up menu and look for picture size.
Older TVs used to have a vertical size adjustment at the back. look in the manual.
If none of the above, you have a biiger problem with the TV internal parts needing attention

You cannot change aspect ratio when recieving HD signal. Try changing the cable box or satellite box format or aspect ratio.

TRYING TO CHANGE SMALL OICTURE TO THE WHOLE SCREEN

Look for 'ASPECT' or 'DISPLAY' on the remote to change the display size. You may not have that function if you are not using the original remote.

Picture on Olevia lcd is too large for screen.

If you are on a cable or dish box, check aspect setting from you box, TV needs to be 16-9 or full, set TV first then change setting on box.
