I have 2 different batteries. Tried recharging and changing nothing changes. At first the lens was stuck at full out zoom. I gave it a small push then it clicked. Now it's completely stuck and wont move. Screen is still black. Before I pushed it and after, it is still black. If I try turn it on, it wont do anything. The green light will just blink a little or stay lit for 10-20 seconds then it shuts off.

I had the same problem with my Sony DSC-S500, I called Sony for a solution and they told me to take the batteries out and hold down the power button for 10 seconds, after trying that the camera would turn on the off again. I decided to hold down the power button and the button that takes the picture for 10 seconds and after putting the batteries back in the camera, it worked fine. I think that the picture button was stuck. Hope this works for you.

Same problem guys!!! LENS HAD GOT STUCK - ABOUT ONE THIRD OUT after a knock. After lots of playing, and tapping and batteries in and out tried the whole twisting and pulling thing whilst turning off and on.
After a few minutes it came free and whole lens popped out. I then had to twist the outer part of the lens to straighten that up and allow it to fully retract. Works a treat now!
PS Tried the Sony online chat support - useless!!!!

Use bit more force to push or pull the lens as lens has been damaged. If applying bit more force lens goes to working, u saved $$$ otherwise, new lens option is always available at Sony repair shops.

try hitting it against something harder (like a table). I just did and it worked for me.
SOURCE: Lens stuck open
I have to agree with one of the comments previously posted. I too had a Sony DCS-S700 and the lens was stuck open. Whenever I turned the camera on, the Sony Cybershot logo appeared and dissappeared, turning the camera off. I noticed the lens was crooked, so I moved it in the center direction and the camera worked again.
