SOURCE: Lower Spray Arm doesn't Rotate on Siemens SE55A560 Dishwater

upper and lower connection should be same type of setup
missing part thus?
This sometimes is also caused by not driving in right the rack (closing properly) mating the connections tight. My old Bauknecht had this little problem.
Unfortunately I have no manual with parts drawings.
Still warranty?
Parts shop nearby?
Upper connection does have rubber ring or is a conical seal?
And when you fill the basket, no teaspones or such dropping too far down? My error many times.........

SOURCE: lower spray arm siemens aquastop dishwasher doesn't rotate

Sprayers require water to pass through the jets to provide motion to the arms.

Suggestion;

Remove the sprayer from the machine and look for blockages. (Removal should be easy, at it is expected that the user will need to clean the jets occasionally; If you have any problems removing it, consult your manual).

Testimonial: "Thanks for a speedy and v helpful reply. Sounded obvious, but I hadn't checked the water inlet(which was calcified)just the jets on the arm itself! "

SOURCE: The upper arm is not rotating

Take it apart and clean it, water pressure should spin it around, there are bits of food/rice plugging it and stoping it from rotating.

SOURCE: Have 5 year old Siemans. Perfect until about 3

There are a few possibities...
check the spray arms are clear by removing any blockages in the holes, check that there is enough water entering the d/w by removing the lid (no screws on lid, there are two clips at the rear, release them and the whole lid will slide back and then off) and take the two t20 screw off the left side panel at the front you should check the pressure chamber and its hose are not blocked. Use the link and go to page 4, part 0428 and 0426. Whilst you have the side panel of, fill the d/w and once the inlet valve closing, reset the machine and watch the drainage thru the left chamber is flowing ok. You can also remove 0420 (remove t20 screw via the sump after all filters are removed) this will expose the pump impellor and you can check for any obstruction. If the d/w is connected via a sealed spigot to the sink, remove the grey hose and unscrew the spigot adaptor from the sink and ensure there are no blockages.
You have not mentioned that the d/w is not heating so I assume it is, as this could be a problem also. However, although the machine is heating the water is distributed via a motor attached to the heater box that alternates the water between the top and bottom basket. If this is faulty you will find that the d/w will clean one of the baskets beautifully and the other not at all. (unfortunately this will req a new instantaneous water heater which is best fitted by an expert)

I appreciate that this is not you model but the parts should be in the same position.
If you req any further assistance pls repost, if this is helpful pls leave feedback.
Best of luck.

Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

My Asko DW20.3 fills up the drip pan with a serious leak that happens when the wash cycle runs. How can I find exactly what is leaking and are parts available to repair this machine?

QUESTION: I just moved into a new apartment. The dishwasher is running normal but when it completes the wash cycle, my dishes are not clean and the detergent tablet is still there. The dishwasher is not dissolving the tablet. Maybe a little bit but about 80% of it is still there. I believe it gets hot water and runs normally. The apartment management said to use dishwasher cleaning tablets and not the powder soap. What can I do to try and get the tablet to dissolve? Any help you can provide would be great!

ANSWER: If your dishwasher hot water temperature is below 110F/115F, then it may not be hot enough to dissolve certain brands of detergent tablets. Be sure the water is HOT before you run the dishwasher. Run the hot water in the sink until it is very hot, then immediately run the dishwasher. Run the dishwasher on the longest, hottest cycle it has.
Also check that the spring opening action of the detergent dispenser door is working properly. If the detergent dispenser is too small a big detergent tablet may not be letting it open correctly. It may be jamming up the door. Try using a liquid or gel dish washing detergent if this is the case. There are many high quality liquid and gel dishwasher detergents on the market today. Liquid Cascade seems to be the best so give that a try. A powdered detergent will work too. Use a rinsing aid also as this will help remove spots even when the tablet may not be dissolving properly.
KEEP THE DISHWASHER DETERGENT DISPENSER CLEAN

If you are in an apartment, then most likely you do not have a high quality dishwasher. Knowing this, the dishwasher needs all the assistance it can get with the hottest water possible. You also need to be sure your dishwasher is clean at the bottom (removable strainer filter) where the pump and bottom washer arm is located. Be sure that it is clean and has hot water and this will be the best method to dissolve tablets. If you must use tablets, you can break them in half in the sink first. Place them in the dispenser and the hot water should make it easier to dissolve since the tablet is not as large.
You also need to be sure there is enough water for the pump to actually pump the water. To check this, start the dishwasher. Once you hear it running, open the dishwasher and be sure there is hot water and enough of it. If there is not much water in the dishwasher it may not be getting much water to the pump. When you open the door while it is running, check the water level at the bottom of the washer. If there is not much water at the bottom, then it may not be getting enough water to clean dishes and dissolve the tablet. Clean the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher to help the pump get the water more efficiently.
DISHWASHER PARTS IDENTIFICATION
If all else fails, you may have an old worn out dishwasher. The pump may be bad. Possibly your water heater is set to low. Your water heater should be set right around 120F. This will ensure that your dishwasher is getting the correct water temperature to effectively clean dishes and dissolve the tablet. If in an apartment, let the management know you are having this issue and they SHOULD resolve it.

Dirty dishes

Some brands of powder do not dissolve properly, also it is not recommended to use the tablet type powder blocks as they don't work well and cost more than normal powder.

Dishes bottom rack are marginally clean. upper rack is never clean anymore. The dish washer cycles through NORMAL and Dries dishes OK. Motor is running, and rinsing can be heard as well as washing cycles....

Just fixed my Frigidaire. The outboard o-ring on the main pump became distorted and stretched. Check your local hardware store as Frigidaire wants $17.50 + shipping. Good luck

Dishwasher cycle runs: tablet is not dissovlved, dishes dirty

If the dry cycle has a problem, check these:

Heating element
Drying fan
Thermostat
Heating element Your dishwasher has an electrical heating element that helps to dry the dishes. If the element is burned out, the dishes won't dry properly, and you need to replace the element.

Drying fan Many high-priced dishwashers have a small fan that blows air or heated air into the dishwasher to speed up the drying process. If the fan is defective, you need to replace it.

Thermostat Some dishwashers have a thermostat that monitors the drying temperature. If the thermostat is defective, the heating element may not cycle on or off properly. If that's the problem, you need to replace the thermostat.

Dishwasher 3 in 1 detergent tablet not dissolving.

I believe that the instructions for using these 3-in-1 tablets is to place it in the open dish detergent cup, rather than in the closable compartment, since the tablet needs to get doused by a lot of water in oder to fully dissolve and be effective in getting the dishes clean.

Since the tablets are designed to dissolve more slowly, they are able to be used for the entire range of washing cycles. If it's a constant problem and you don's have an open detergent cup below or next to your closed detergent dispenser, just toss it into the bottom of the dishwasher instead.

The reason that the tablet isn't getting dissolved fully is because the door is preventing the tablet from dropping all the way out and the door is shielding the tablet from quite a bit of water spray.

Another option is to take a look at your owners manual for the dishwasher and see if they recommend these all-in-one tablets versus regular powered detergent and liquid rinse aid.

Hope that helps and best regards!

Hi there, always rinse the dishes immediately after use before putting them in the dishwasher. Also make sure they are not too tightly stacked, as this prevents proper cleaning.

I have a Chef Classic dishwasher - not washing properly

The caddy for cutlery on this model is in front of the compartment where you put the tablets. What'll sometimes happen, is a spatula or wooden spoon or something in the caddy will hold the tablet compartment lid shut - it'll stop them coming out properly.
After a while the water movement will move the obstruction and the tablet will come out, but it'll only be dissolved for a bit of the wash and the dishes won't be cleaned properly.

Water not hot

Dishwashers are suppose to be hooked up to hot water. If you had hotter water it would clean just fine. 120 deg or more!
