I have a Samsung Omnia. If you go into settings you can turn on AGPS (assisted GPS) and download some addition software that helps gps. GPS is automatic but you can turn it off or allow windows mobile to manage it which is advisable. You cannot automatically see the GPS but you can buy or get third party software to see when GPS is working.

GPS gate works to turn gps on/off manual but this is just one software.

I have included a link to show where these settings are and if you want to use GPS gate. Note: I am not affiliate with GPS gate at all.

Hello. I definitely recommend the Omnia Pro which is a full PDA phone. In my opinion the e63 is gimmicky. A PDA Short for personal digital assistant, a handheld device that combines computing, telephone/fax, Internet andnetworking features. OMNIA GPS
Hi it all depends on the Navigation software you are using. If you want to use googlemaps hen it should work as it is out of the box. The same goes for Route66. For Tomtom you will need another program like GPSgate that deals with the satellite locks (Tomtom does not properly deal with the Omnias internal GPS)
