SOURCE: Computer cannot communicate with printer

either port or driver problem. you may have to make adjustments in BIOS under peripheral devices. default is auto, change to assign manually and assign a port for com 1, com 2, printer.
reboot
right click MY COMPUTER, PROPERTIES, HARDWARE, DEVICE MANAGER; scroll down to com 1 and com 2 ports (above printer port) make sure no yellow explanation marks which indicate a port conflict. NO PRINTER WILL PRINT.
go to mfr website and download driver for your printer
click MY COMPUTER, PROPERTIES, HARDWARE, DEVICE MGR;
scroll down to printer port; right click; PROPERTIES, click on change driver; browse over to where you download drivers; keep going down the tree until you get to DRIVERS (select the folder with your operating system) click on it to OPEN into dialogue box (in change driver wizard which is open) and hit enter; THE WIZARD WILL INSTALL THE CORRECT DRIVER FOR YOUR PRINTER.
HAPPY PRINTING.

SOURCE: No power on my Lexmark X8350

That's the same printer I have.

First, make sure the blue "copy" button is lit. Printing is done there.

Then, go to the circle with the checkmark in it and hit the menu, and arrow down to copy papy size and make sure it says "letter".

Click start on your computer, then click control panel, then printers, and make sure Lexmark 8300 series is the default printer and has a green checkmark in a circle.

If all these things are right, you should be able to print a test page and the computer should work fine.

If any one of them are wrong they must be corrected. If you need help on any one of those please write back.

SOURCE: Power button not working on Lexmark X2530 multifunction printer

OK, if you can work a volt meter it will help. We want to double check the output of your power supply (P/S) based on the specs written on it , or in the manual. If the P/S is known good, when the printer is turned on, do you hear anything? listen for the faintest fan. If you hear a fan, printer is getting power. if you hear nothing and see nothing, check for a fuse by the P/S plug in somewhere. If you don't see one outside, there is one on a board that needs replaced inside the printer. Check the fuses for continuity. Ill bet its as simple as a bad P/S, lexmark is cheap plastic ****, but still lasts longer than THAT!

E system 1212 Laptop won't switch on. Power

Laptops are so integrated that usually a system failure that involves power issues such as in your case where you cant get it turn on with anything on the screen mean the mainboard (motherboard) is damaged. This usually leads to buying a new laptop or paying for the board to be replaced which usually costs as much as the laptop.
