The monitor goes into power save mode and the ups disconnect

I have installed a Belkin F6C1000 TW-RK to a new Vista 64 system and it appears that when the monitor goes into power save then the USB connection is disconnected.

I downloaded the latest software from your site to support the UPS.

Can I set the Windows power mangement on monitor, hard disks and system standby to Never to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Rick Craig

It should work, make sure each profile is set the same way. Keep in mind you should still be able to utilize your standby feature, and your screensaver as well.

Question - I set both battery and power options to never but the screensaver doesn't come on. Any suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Rick

My Belkin F6C1500-TW-RK UPS DOES NOT LIGHT UP (PWR ON) WHEN PLUGED IN, USING NEW BATTERIES.

I returned from a trip to find my F6C1000W-TWRK and all devices powered off with no lights. Tried to reset the AC breaker on the back but it wasn't tripped. I confirmed good mains power then tried to power it on by holding the main power button but no action. removed the batteries (2x 7AHr 12V sealed Pb-acid) and confirmed one was 0V and the other around 2V. I attempted to charge each indpednatly on a Jusni iCharger but both wouldn't take a charge.

As this seemed suspicious that both batteries would fail simultaneously, I took the unit apart and found the two 40A on-board fuses for the DC lead intact. Then on inspecting more, there was a distinct brown discoloration around the large aluminum heatsink with "IG0" component mounted under it (and presumably "IG1" but I didn't dismantle further).

Bottomline is it appears this component can eventually overheat (likely due to an electrolytic going bad and stressing it beyond it's thermal limits until it finally fails).

I haven't attempted repair as new quality batteries are approx $60 shipped so I am going to buy an all new unit.

If anyone attempts repair for this failure mode, please post back your experience.

Thanks !

F6C1250-TW-RK This unit worked for 5 min after a powerout, before it shut off.

Please check after removing the panel to see if the battery voltage is down or gone below the threshold limit and so the UPS has shut off.
Also if the battery connection is bad the load will not be supported. Clean and reset the connections. If not the UPS board has a fault and might need careful checking.

F6C1000TWRK will not start. Replaced batteries. Clicks when it is plugged in. Is it worth fixing?

For the price it will take to get it fixed, you can buy a brand new one. But if it is less then three years old, belkin will fix it for free.

Belkin F6C1500-TW-RK discharged new batteries, won't recharge

This sounds like a battery issue...I would have the unit and batteries tested at your nearest batteriesplus store... www.batteriesplus.com

Belkin F6C1500 UPS will not run on batteries

I think your issue is that the unit is overloaded. Try this...unplug a couple of items to get the load lower...then pull the plug from the wall...did it keep those few units running while disconnected...if not then the unit could still be overloaded...unplug everything but a small electric radio...do the same thing to see if it will keep the radio playing. If this doesnt work, go by your nearest batteriesplus store and they can help. www.batteriesplus.com

My BELKIN F6C1000-TW-RK just quit working, I guess I need new batteries as I bought it in 2005? Which batteries and where can I get them?

remove the battery. It will have a number on it also the voltage and amp hrs. You can find the battery online or if you have an interstate battery store near by they will have what you need.

Battery connection.

Here's the manual with battery replacement instructions. If not detailed enough, give their support line a call.
