PUK code I have the same problem: I forgot my pin code and then it asked me for a PUK code. I switched off my mobile and tried to switch it on back again.. it asks for a PUK code..Can you please help me with this? its SAMSUNG U600 i tried putting in a password for my numbers and messages and i only had one chance, but i forgot and it blocked me from getting on my phone. when i turn it on it says enter puk number and i threw the box and the leaflets away that i got with my phone. and now i regret it because i NEED my phone now.

Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000

Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.

PUK code is called as PERSONNAL UNBLOCKING KEY.
Your phone will ask for PUK code when you entered the PIN code wrongly several times depending upon the mobile make. The mobile asks for PUK code so that unauthorized persons do not use your mobile for wrong cause.
To get PUK code please contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office. They will provide you the PUK code for your mobile. The PUK code for mobile phone.so that you can open your phone. When you planning to call your service provider you cannot use your mobile as it is fully locked. Please use some other mobile with same network to call your service provider.
While you get the PUK code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only. If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the PUK code

PIN stands for Personal Identification Number. When you switch off your mobile and switch on again it will ask your PIN No. If you enter the PIN No three times wrong then your mobile will ask for the PUK
The PIN and PUK are provided on your SIM package, and can be changed many times. The basic purpose of these codes is to provide a security.These codes are normally used to prevent your SIM card from unauthorized use.

When you give an incorrect PIN three times to your mobile phone it will block your SIM card, then in this case you have to provide a PUK given to you by network provider. If it's your pin number you forgot, phone your service provider and get your PUK code. Write it down and check with them that you have it right. There are 2 PUK codes, one for PIN 1 and one for PIN 2.

When you have the PUK code, enter any wrong pin 3 times and the phone will lock.
When the phone is locked turn it off and then on again. It will tell you that the sim card is locked and ask for the PUK code. Enter the PUK and it will then ask for your new PIN. Enter a new code and it is now changed.

If you forget the PIN CODE of your Sim, follow the instructions below;

• Call your cell phone operator customer care and get the PUK CODE(pin unlocking code) for your simcard/Number
• Now switch on your cell and type some wrong pin code for 3 times continpusle... You can get can PIN LOCKED and it may ask for the PUK code
• Now keyin the PUK CODE, you got from your operator
• Now it will ask you to set a new PIN for your mobile, to be safe set PN as 0000 or 1234, and this would be your new PIN.....

the puk code prompt comes up when you have entered the pin code wrong 3 times.

to get the puk code you need to call your phone service provider, the will give it to you, if you try to gess the puk code wrong too many times it will make your ssim card useless, so get the right code from your provider, they are the only ones that have it.

after the puk code it will ask you to enter a new pin code and then confirm the pin code. then the sim will work normally and ask for pin again next time instead of puk, puk will come again if you enter pin wrong 3 times.
