I JUST REPLACED MY BLACK INK CARTRIDGE AND NOW MY PRINTER SCREEN SAYS THAT THE INK CARTRIDGE CANNOT BE DETECTED OR IT IS MISSING...IT WASNT DOING THIS WITH THE OLD INK CARTRIDGE SO I PUT IN THE OLD CARTRIDGE AGAIN AN IT WAS SAYING THE SAME THING. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. THANKS.
The cartridge is not seated properly and/or the contacts are dirty. Use a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and gently clean both the copper contacts on the cartridge and inside the cartridge socket. Allow several minutes to dry and then try again.

i tried cleaning with alcohol, but the printer still doesn't detect the expensive new cartridge. Maybe i should just drink it instead!
