Top oven (and Grill) have stopped working

My 3 Year old AEG Competence D2100-4 Double oven has malfunctioned.
Bottom (main oven) works fine but top oven and grill have ceased to function. The fan will run but the interior light does not work and neither the grill nor the oven generate heat.Also the control switches light up on the main oven but not on the problem one. It is as if all power has been lost to the top oven and grill but yet the fan continues to run when switched on.

can you see the bottom element?? if so usually , its obvious when the element goes bad, youll see the damage.TURN OFF POWER. 2 screws remove elemnet from the front 2 wires, plug in aa new one and your good

I am a factory servicer for Electrolux / Frigidaire
I replace tons of those clock controls. They shouldn't be $160 though

If you are just curious and its working turn on for 1 min then (after switching off) have a feel inside.
If it is opened follow the wires.

AEG Competence B3101-4m oven not working on fan setting. Fan operates but no heat. Also intermittent problem on full grill setting. Any ideas?

ISOLATE MAINS POWER BEFORE OPENING ANY PANEL
Several possibilites come to mind.
first Has this AEG two fans if yes , it has a top and back fan, the element on the back fan sounds like its either a bad connection or blown needs further investigation, the intermittent grill possibly a thermistat, of poor contact on a connection again. Rear and top panel access, you may have to remove the top fan.

The light on my aeg competence oven and grill is not working. I can not use the timer.

It's either the thermostat / switch or the timer unit. Make sure the timer was not set to have turned off the grill first

The top oven of our AEG D5701-4 is slow to heat.

Hi it could be the element on the grill it maybe burning out, what slows the grill to get hot quicker. best to turn of the mains or by the main switch. and get a toorch to check around the element or use a continental reader check if it is receving 240volts

If you are certain that the element is o/k, and it is not heating, then thwere are 2 possibilitues.

1- the oven thermostat could be faulty, whereby it is giving a feed to the element.
2-some ovens have a fan only setting, as well as heat and fan, make sure that it is not on a fan only setting.
