Suddenly, water seems to be leaking out of the unit all over my floor. It is also spraying out of the vent as well. This started to happen after a few weeks of regular use - things were basically fine, the room was being humidified very nicely. But suddenly, this problem occurred. I cant seem to understand why it is happening. There are no cracks in the tank, and the tanks 'sealed door' seems to be snugly sealed. Please advise.
This happened to me the second night of use. Water all over the carpet and a dripping vent. I called customer service and they told me to remove the tank and filter, and run unit dry for an hour or so. Then restart it. Worked fine after that. I think we may have bumped it which is said to be the cause of most leaks. Bummer is that after 5 night of use the grip on water tank slipped and the tank is in pieces.

Humidifier was running well for a couple of weeks. It leaked all over the floor this weekend, and is spraying water out of the vent.
It ran fine for the last two years. I got it out this year to use, put in a new filter (soaked) and when I put the tank in it instantly poured out the bottom of the humidifier. Tank is not cracked. What's up with that?
I have the same problem. Water comes pouring out of the bottom of the unit. I do not see any crack in the tank, so what is causing this??
I have the same problem. The unit is brand new. The first night, it ran fine. Now, water spits out of the vent rather than spraying in a fine mist, soaking the floor. I tried turning the humidistat down to 2 droplets (2nd lowest setting) but it did not make a difference. No cracks that I can see. The unit makes a sound like freezing rain hitting a gutter. Anyone have any solutions?
