How do you disable mac address filtering on a speedstream 6520

Dear yohwayne

I am afraid that there are incompatibilities between speedstream 6520 and Voip service. I will need to look at this a little bit further but I think the only workaround is a firmware update. (modified version of the original)

If you have a good IP address, re-boot the router. If your address starts with 169., then you don't have a good IP address.

have a speedstream 6520.got a wii at home,wouldnt connect to the internet,need to access WEP nuber.where do i find it?tnx

Connect one of your computer to the LAN port of the speedstream, access the configuration page of the speedstream (example 192.168.1.254) then under advance tab there a MAC filter there that you change the MAC address.

I dont think you can.

1. Log into the router's admin console. (Often http://192.168.1.1/)
2. Release the IP address. (Method varies by router manufacturer)
3. Turn off router, ethernet hubs/switches, and the cable/DSL modem.
4. Leave off overnight.
5. Turn everything back on.

hi there... normally you get the Key number .. on the back of the router.. its would be a WEP key or WAP key.

you can go to command prompt and type command as in small letter which is "ipconfig /renew" it will reactivate your old active ip address.#
if not go in control panel and right click on connection icon -->properties --then--> general tab -->TCP/IP --> change the ipaddress there. i hope it will help u.
