Sanyo VPC-S1070 Lens error 0x 04110000

I turn my camera on and I get a red band with Lens error 0 x 04110000 written on it The message stays up for 15 seconds, and then lens retracts and camera shuts down

SOURCE: sanyo vpc s1070 displays - lens error when turned

try these:-

  • connect it to pc and on it
  • vaccum the barrel of lens
  • changing mem. card and batt. for 2min.
  • shake it.
  • on and off in different positions
  • hit the part near lens softly with palm (trust me this made mine work)

Lens Error on sanyo VPC S1070. I've fixed it before through the sanyo customer service and now ive lost the receipt and they wont tell me.
Usually a lens error refers to the lens not being able to focus in and out due to grit or sand in the gears of the camera. Was this what they repaired before?

Without a receipt, I would think that they would be able to look it up. But, if they don't have that capability or policy, you may have to pay for the repair again, or just get another camera to replace if it's too much economically.

I dropped the camera in the sand. I turn it on and it says Lens error OX 04110000
You might try a can of compressed air, but I would see if the camera is still in warranty. I had good luck with my Canon, they sent me a new camera!
