Gas not coming on Carrier Weather Maker 8000

I have a Carrier Weather Maker 8000 that has refused to start this winter. On checking the error codes comes out to be 21 which states gas blockage. One of the suggestion was to shut off the heater and let it reset which has not helped. (Left it Off for the whole night but when started the next morning, it still did not start. The ignitor comes on but since gas fails to come, it glows for few seconds and then turns off. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I checked again today and from what I can gather, the error code is 12 and not 21. The error code 12 translates to "blower on after power up" or "R-W Closed". I have no idea what all this means. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Weather Maker 8000 ran fine for the first day of the cold snap then stopped. Squirrel cage running but no inducer or igniter. Led is flashing 1 short & 2 long.

Either the gas valve is not opening or your not getting gas to the furnace.  also the gas valve won't open unless the draft motor comes on.  if the ignitor is trying to light, but there's no gas, it might be a bad gas valve. i would call your closest NATE certified contractor

The filter should slide out of a built in rack from the side of the furnace by the return inlet. It should have the size on it or you'll have to measure it. It may also be inside the bottom door. Pull the door up and out, the filter will be on one side or the other. Unless you have a special Hepa or electronic filtering system.

Error code 23 - Pressure Switch did not open My Carrier Weather Maker Furnace is flashing an error code 23- Pressure Switch did not open( Obstructed Pressure Tubing/Pressure Switch). What should be done...

Its probably a bad pressure switch where the contacts did not open when the exhaust fan shut off. Check the pressure switch ports and verify there not blocked.

Carrier Gas Furnace runs fine randomly stops blowing LEDs flash

That blinking light may be the diagnostic light. Count the blinks next time it fails. Carrier units will have two different blinks depicting the error code such as one blink followed by a pause than 3 blinks giving you an error code of 13. Then look at the wiring diagram, it will have an error code chart telling you where to start with your diagnosis. You already know that if you remove the cover it erases the error code, so look thru the small window first.

Carrier furnace weathermaker 8000

. Several times of recyling power normally brings the furnance up. Though the failure code has always been 31, there are several different behaviour when the blower starts after reset :
a. blower simply creases.
b. there is an attempt to start the heating unit (I hear the high pitch noises), then everything stops.
c. there is an attempt to start the heating unit (I hear the high pitch noises), once I see the orange glow from the coil, normally the gas is lit up and the unit starts working.
