I have the Frigidaire Gallery slide in stove/oven. The display for temperature is so dim that I can't see it anymore. Would it be a fuse?

The Electronic control has lights inside for the time and for the temperature. Over time the lights get dim (Frigidaires do it a lot). The Electronic control is not a Servicable part. You must buy a new Electronic control.

SOURCE: clock and oven control display

This solution worked great for me. I can't believe it was only a samll little cap. Thanks a bunch for this.it saved me a bunch.
Its real easy to do if you're handy.
IMPORTANT Turn circuit breaker OFF first
Open oven door
From underneath control panel remove 4 white screws with philips screw driver
this holds white cover strip
remove 4 hex head screws which will loosen the panel.
remove panel and support it's weight as many wires are connected.
remove 2 small plugs on board - you may need a small screw driver to pry away the locking mechanisms on the socket
Remove riggon type flat cable by squeezing black tabs on eand and lift up.
The board can now be removed by unclipping 2 of the clips holding the board while lifting up.
Take board to Radio Shack and ask for a suitable replacement for the C3 cap which is 35 volts and 68uf (microfarads). Remove and replace by careful soldering.
If traces lift off oard use a wire to jumper trace
ensure the cap goes in the same polarity there is negative signs on one side.
You can parallel caps to add uf together.
Voltage should be not less than 35volt slightly higher is OK.

SOURCE: my kenmore elite electric slide in range displayed error and F13 and the oven won't turn on

i phoned Sears about error code f13 on a gas range, and was told to unplug the range for 30 minutes. i think she meant 30 seconds - to reprogram the microchip. i unplugged it for 15 minutes or so, then reconnected, and it worked.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Gallery stove, oven won't heat up (electric)

With the oven OFF, check the resistance of the bake element with a ohmmeter on the lowest scale. Rx1. If your reading is infinate, replace the element as most elements will open circuit when they burn out. They don't short out.

Where are the fuses located in a frigidare stove

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

I understand you are seeking the fuses location in your Frigidaire range. May I please have your model number? You can typically locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) in the storage drawer, on the right side. Please describe what your appliance is doing so that I can assist you better in pinpointing the problem before you take this step. Thanks!

Frigidaire gallery gas range temperature display lights are very dim

Hello Peter Robinson - If the display LED's are dimmed on the range but it is working, then it sounds like more than likely the EOC (electronic oven control) or wiring failure will need replacing. I personally recommend contacting a professional for an accurate diagnosis and to assist with the repairs. You can often locate a qualified provider by visiting the manufacturer website.
