NEC MT1060 Multimedia Projector Logo

Yellow area Hi, My MT1060 projetor has developed a static yellow cloud in the bottom centre of the screen ( similar to purity error on a CRT) which is approximately 1/3 of the size of the screen. The image behind the cloud is O.K and all colours in that area seem to be O.K. Many thanks Rich

I also have this on one of my 4 MT1060's. Did you find a solution? I am looking to do some self maintenance if possible.

Ihave a Yellow almost "Heart shaped" cloud lately when watching anything. I looked into the Lens and could see a a colour box. within that box was a much smaller simular shape. I think it is probably a burn from the bulb, but not sure. I would to know if any one has a complete parts lists or an exploded view parts list of this projector. I think that colour box needs to be replaced.

FAULT CODE 009-380

The Yellow ATC Sensor detects a low TC (toner concentration).

Initial Action

  • Check that Toner/Developer is present.
  • Check the Yellow ATC Sensor for contamination. Ensure that the sensor is seated correctly.

NOTE:
To clear this fault, enter Component Control and set the value of NVM location 752-109 to 0.

This can be caused by many things. I've seen broken Drum contacts from improper drum installation causing Developer bead carryover. Toner dispense motor assy's failing. Developer Housing failure. DVHVPS failure.

Yellow dosent work ok

Theres a service code to run the calibration program to reset the colors. It should be ran by a technician because that machine is very picky about running the procedure the right way. If someone shortcuts it, it makes a big mess.

With three error codes on the screen, it won't be something easy on your end to clear it.

Yellow/red static and poor image quality

There are some components in the video processor area or the power supply area that have become thermo sensitive with age. Over time, they will most probably fail completely.

The set should be serviced by a tech who is familiar with your set and has the proper resources to service it.
