Blackberry device manager freezes up at start of sync

Soon as I plug in my blackberry pearl to sync the device manager makes the connection and then freezes up. You have to unplug the blackberry to get the device manager off. What is causing this and how can I correct it?

    When I try to syncmy calendar it won't let me put a check mark in the calendar box. After hitting "choose" the program frezzes.

Can contacts be copied from a blackberry account to a SIM card?

I would use the Desktop Manager to sync your contacts with Outlook. Most newer phones can sync with Outlook. If not, if you take both phones to your service provider's store, they will sync it for you.

Bb calendar sync

You may need to clear out the calendar database first on the BlackBerry device, and then try to synch again. Do the following:

1. Connect your BlackBerry via USB.
2. Open Desktop Manager and go to the Backup and Restore option.
3. Select Advanced.
4. The Desktop Manager will show the device databases on the right-hand side.
5. Scroll down and highlight the entry that says Calendar, then click on the Clear button.

Once Desktop Manager has cleared the calendar database try to sync again.
