SOURCE: Smart drive 5.5 washing machine lights show power on but no go
OK Problem located (without Diagnostics) , the problem was a faulty START/PAUSE button. I took the display board apart and fiddled with the button (whilst the power was UNPLUGGED) Starts almost every time, when it does`nt fiddle some more.

Hi there
That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.
first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.
Hope this solves your Problem.
Nick

Hi have had this problem on phase 5 grey controller, on the controll board near where the valve hot and cold wires are connected you will see a small usually blue resistor value approx 5ohms this is probably open circuit replace it check your water valves before reconnecting I was fortunate enough to have plenty of spare valves so I just replaced both valves as I suspect a faulty one may have damaged resistor machine has been working fine for some time since

sounds that you have a jammed or blocked water pump. Just remove the pump and try to unblock it, it can affect the electronic board which may need replacing

Hi just read your posting. On your model of machine the 3 reasons that the machine does not power up are ,your power point is dead, check with a small appliance, your drain pump is faulty,or the control module is faulty.Did you smell any burning smell near the machine? Is the machine full of water? To check the pump you need a multimeter to check the windings or look under the machine to the front right and you will see a fan. This is your pump.Check with a torch on the pump for corrosion or any burning smell near it.Please reply with additional information on the questions and what the condition of the pump is.Looking forward to your reply.

the washer starts to pump water in for about 5 seconds then stops, tries again, etc....then lights 3.5.7 & 8 flash and machine starts beeping. Last week it stopped after the wash cycle but i fixed that by cleaning 2 wires that go into a small box under the control panel. (Could i have put the wires back wrong, have tried either way but no luck) have done several washes since with intermittant faults being these 2 wires ,but the last wash worked fine and now this.. Any help appreciated !!
