When the phone (with the battery inserted) is plugged in to the charger, the orange light comes on, but there is no response fro the rest of the phone. When the phone is unplugged from the charger, the orange light goes off, still no response from the phone, but... when I was trying the hard reset with the buttons, I was able to get the blue, green red, white screen once, and the regular on screen keypad came on with a message about the sim card and only making emergency calls...so I had to put the sim card in. During that process, the home screen went away, and did not come back. I am not sure which buttons I pushed to get the green, white, blue, red screen which led to the regualr home scree. Ideas?? I love this phone, and I want to fix it, if possible. thanks
SOURCE: Unable to boot up my O2 Xda Atom
Dear cafei,
Go to boot loader on your O2 XDA atom by removing batt+pressing camera button+plugging in the batt back WHILE still press holding the cam button the ue the stylus to press soft reset button, then connect to your pc via usb, then run the update program (most refer to it as DSUU, u can download one from seeo2.com) just wait for the progress to complete and you're done.
if in case you get stuck at 6%, unplug usb cable, remove battery, then insert battery while press holding the power button, while still holding the power button, press the reset button with the stylus, it should show the o2 splash, wait for any progress. then re-run the DSUU again to perform full flash.
Good luck!
disclaimer:
please take note that i did not suggest any 3-party rom, it is best if you try the O2-released ROM (or DSUU).
SOURCE: HTC P3300 does not ON
Hi,
Apologize for the delay in respose, was having a technical glitch at my end too. Well, if the phone is under one year manufacturer warranty , i would advice to take it in for repairs.
If the warranty is void , try hard reseting the phone ...caution before you do hard reset , it would delete all contacts and files that you saved on it after you got the phone.
Refer owners manual on how to reset the phone . If you donot have the same with , kindly lemme know
Thanks

Do a reset. You will lose all items on you device.
Take battery out. Put it in and hold the power button on till you see the palm logo the second time. Release when you see the 2nd logo. It will prompt you for pressing up to delete and reset. Press Up. It will take some time to reset and reformat but please wait.
After that your phone should come to the setup screen. I would hotsync after you setup to get your contacts back.
