My cub cadet zero turn mower wont turn right or left. It will go straight or reverse but wont turn. I just changed the drive belt, but that's all I've done to it.

SOURCE: CUB CADET ZERO TURN Z-FORCE 3-BLADE CONFIGURATION

Under each blade is one single nut holding each blade on. It is not left-hand thread and there is nothing special about it.
Standard thread - Standard hardware - Standard tools. (If memory serves, you need a 15/16" socket to remove these.)
There is no need to index or time the blades. They cannot hit together unless something is bent or damaged on your mower deck.

Hope this helps,
Dolf-

SOURCE: Z force 48 in. cub Cadet mower starts but dies

Check the wires to the seat switch. Under the seat you should find 2 wires connected to the seat. Unplug them, and use a jumper on the end that goes into the body of the mower. Try it again, and if it works, replace your seat.

SOURCE: install belt on cub cadet mower

First, make sure you have the model number and serial number (located under the seat) and then go to www.cubcadet.com to get a belt diagram so you know which way the belt snakes through the pulleys.

You will have to remove the two pulley covers on either side of the deck.

Fit the belt around the right side of the deck pulleys when you are on the left. There is an arm attached to the springed pulley on the left side. It will have a hole the size of a 3/8" driver/ratchet. Set the ratchet on unscrew (to the left) and push the arm in toward the center of the mower. You will see the pulley moving too, creating enough slack to slip the belt over the edge of the rim of the pulley with a little elbow grease. If it is too tight, get someone to push in with the ratchet while you slip it on. Once again, you are the grass cutter king!

SOURCE: cub cadet rzt 50, hit stump, blades wont engage but not bent

The blades on this cub cadet are activated with air pressure. Chances are that when you hit that stump, you either blew a fuse or the control module that allows the blades to spin. Begin by checking the fuses. J.

Cub cadet m60-kh the PTO belt keeps jumping off

Likely the deck idler pulley is loose or bearings are shot. The pulley should not wobble and the flat side of the belt should ride square against the pulley face (the pulley should be reasonably perpendicular to the deck). If not, the idler arm pivot is loose or the pivot bolt and arm are shot. Check proper tension is applied by idler pulley torsion spring (the belt is not loose).

How to replace mower belt for ZTR cub cadet mower

Changing the Blade Drive Belts:
a.Set the parking brake. Remove ignition key and both spark plug caps.
b.Unscrew the wing nuts from the deck covers and remove both covers.
c.Using a 3/8" socket breaker bar or socket ratchet insert the drive end into the 3/8" square opening in the lower idler arm assembly and push the idler arm counterclockwise. While holding the idler arm back, loosen the blade drive belt from the pulley and slide the belt away from the pulley.
d.Remove tension of the PTO belt by moving the belt tensioning rod. Loosen the belt retaining bolt.
e.Pull the tensioner pulley away from the belt and remove the PTO belt then remove the blade drive belt.
f.Reverse the process to install the belt.

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
