Here goes nothing, I had my computer hooked to the TV for 6 months i kicked the cable acouple of times nothing seriously sending it out of the port, any how, one day i had a purple tint on the screen with two different computers so i figured the problem was in the cable. I then waited 6 months and bought a new nice hdmi cable and a fully dvi-i dual dvi -> hdmi adapter.
Now, cant get the hdmi port on the tv to work anymore
I tryed a dvd player on my tv, same no signal weak signal message or check cables message.
I tryed my old cable with the purple tint no luck to the computers.
Same problem, no hdmi
I used just the hdmi cable on my dads tv with a dvd player and the cable is good. great picture
I tryed power cycling / rebooting the tv to no avail.
what is the board that controls the hdmi called and do I need a new one?
No, when I bought my new plazma tv, and unhooked my old DVR box, I had to go to my cable provider and inform them. they sent a signal and WHAM I was back in Biz.
