To reset the Belkin back to the default settings - Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and then power for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button. Before contacting Belkin to obtain a replacement of the unit, I'd suggest attempting to locate a different AC adapter for your router. You never know, it may be bad and your router could be fine. If you can't locate one, or the one you found didn't work, contact Belkin for a replacement.

cant you attach the old wireless router to one of the expansion slots in the new wireless router and have the old one for ps3 only and the new one for everything else
your user name and password have been entered incorrectly, they are case sensitive and must be exact. Make sure your ADSL settings are set at 0/38 (you'll see where)
You must always have a 'host' adaptor whether you want a LAN or a WAN. Go to your configuration utility or control panel via your Run command to set or view your options. Steve Medley
you mean that the adapter is not being recognised by the pc as a usb device, this adapter works better on a usb2.0 port, not as well on a usb1.0 port, depending on how old your pc is, try other ports., but you must uninstal the belkin driver from add/remove programmes, then install the driver again and inset adapter in a different usb port than before.
the adapter should then be found and click install driver automatically, but leave the cd in the drive as it normally picks the driver up again from the disk on it's own even after installing it yourself.
When installed i would recommend using windows wireless zero configuration (windows own software) instead of the belkin software, to do this right click on the network icon and select enable WZC (windows zero config), as this is a more stable programme for connecting your adapter signal to the router
Personally Belkin is poor in my opinion, netgear has better software and drivers, but it's belkin you have, so follow the above and it should be ok.
