Disc read error

I just bought the new Guitar Hero world tour game and it won't work, it keeps saying "disc read error". All my other games still work fine though! I used some air spray duster to try to clean my console, but it still won't work. I even exchanged the game twice! What is the problem? And what can I do to fix it? Please help!

Trying to get guitar hero world tour on ps2 but keeps going to browser, works fine on a friends ps2, what am I doing wrong ?

i had the exact same problem. the original ps2 doesnt have "up to date" hardware in it, so sometimes there are disks that it cant read. what you have to do is take it to the place where you bought it and ask for a different disk. they may give you a hassle, so be prepared to push through with your argument that "the customer is always right"

When i put guitar hero world tour in ps2 it just says reading dis

Most likely from you playing burnt discs on your PS2 which tricks the laser to work on those discs, it's like a habit devoloping, you need another PS2.

Guitar Hero World Tour PS2

If you have old ps2(fat one) or some of the older slim models they are unable to read the new dual layer discs like GHWT. You can send your ps2 back to sony to reformat it to be able to read these new discs for about $50. There is currently a class action lawsuit against sony and activision for not being upfront about this problem.

Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii won't load

Solution: Wii Console needed to download a software upgrade from the web to run Guitar Hero World Tour. Internet connection in our home is via a Linksys ADSL wireless router. Entered Wii Setup menu (select Wii button on bottom left of screen). Changed Connection 1 from None to Wireless. Wii picked up the SSID broadcast from the router. Did a Test Connection which worked. Wii Console prompted me to 'download Wii System Upgrade from Web?'. Clicked OK. Download took approx 10 mins. On completion of download Guitar Hero World Tour loaded automatically. Note: I have read that the Wii uses wireless protocol 802.11b. Make sure your router has both 802.11g and 802.11b enabled or 802.11b only for the duration of the download. Best of luck.
