SOURCE: My recorder has stopped accepting NEW DVD-RW discs and ejects them.

I had the same problem. After trying several brands, the only one which is working perfectly is Maxell (yellow discs). I found them is the US (Seattle), have not seen them in France where I am leaving. Hope it can help !

Sony RDRGXD455 have tried both DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs from Phillips and they do not work. I have tried VR and Video modes. Do you think Verbatim DVD-RW discs would work?

It depends on what you are trying to record on them. These machines have copy protection built in. So if they detect that they won't let you record on the disc.

Why does my pye py 90DG does not accept any dvd(R-WR)?

Try reloading the driver for dvd player burner. If this does not work try downloading the "read program" for the specified dvd drive.

Samsung DVD-VR330 unit will not accept a brand new blank DVD-RW disc---machine says 'load' for 20 seconds, before saying 'open', which it does.

The DVD-RW will work at random, some brands will wok better than others. Memprex, Sony, Maxell are 3 I can use sometimes. Once the disk is accepted it must be formatted. Click that and if accepted, first do a record for say 2 minutes to see if ti works.

If it works don't take it out until you're ready to finalize it.
That's mostly so the disk will be readable in other players, should it not want to go back in, you probably lost the record.
Don't write on the back, use a card and keep it in the cover.

Sometimes I can use those disk's in PC for data.

My sony dvd oplayer/recorder only sometimes accepts the dvd-rw discs without displaying disc error

That is odd, the only other option is buy a DVD cleaning kit and follow the instructions it might solve your problem.

When i put a dvd +rw diusc into my bush dvr 3004 it wont accept

Regarding the Bush DVR3004 and the 'Smartnavi' screen, a workaround is to repeatedly press the record button on the remote while the "DISC LOADING" screen is displayed.

Loading a disc

To mariouria: to get a "jammed" disc out - unplug the unit, plug back in and IMMEDIATELY push the on button and eject in that order.
