SOURCE: whats the wattage of the bulb used in peavey sp2

The lamp is an "1156" lamp... replace with that part number. Here :

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Cat=524517&k=lamp%201156

Or you can find it at auto parts store.

LIKELY the polyfuse device is ALSO gone... Probably similar to this one (1.1 amp, trip 2.2 amp):

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=F2010-ND

or this one (1.85 amp, trip 3.7 amp):

Hi,I have 2 sp2 cabs, getting sound thru the horn but none to the speaker, any ideas ? thanks

2 possibilities here:

*Speaker coils got fried or,
*Input jack named "Low" in the Bi-Amp section has a loose contact, as they are switch also.

Hope this helps.

Peavey sp2xt speakers horn makes no sound when plugged into normal input. Horn works fine when plugged into the high side of the crossover.

High side speaker input jack defective, as they are switch also and if you plug the wire from the amp in full range and no hf sound but connecting directly to the bi-amp hi does, then your female 1/4 plug at crossover is defective for sure.

Which wire yellow or blue goes on red post

Peavey color indicates that Blue is Negative And Yellow Is Positive, so Yellow goes to + Speaker Terminal.

Could u please send me a circuit diagram of Peavey sp2 crossover with the exact rattings or values of the parts? cos the image of the bulb you have sent is different from the one in my speakers

Here is a link to forum that someone has posted the soundguard protection circuit down the page:

The 1156 lamp MAY have slightly different shapes but is an automotive lamp. If the bulb is blown, the polyswitch fuse is likely blown as well.
