If you need Download recovery disc Toshiba laptop It can be possible that your Toshiba recovery disc has been already broken and so that you want to update it without delay. A healing disc is a CD which will help you to reinstall Windows to boot your computer nicely.

SOURCE: I have a Toshiba Satellite M115. I'm trying to do a sys. restore

Hi Imotivate!

By far the easiest, and most probably the best option for the long run is to ask Toshiba for a replacement recovery cd. It will most likely cost you, but it's worth a shot. Finding an authorised Toshiba dealer can be found by using their helpful website tool found here : http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/gaspLocator.jsp?pf=true.

Hopefully this will point you in the right direction to get a replacement sent out to you!

SOURCE: Slow computer -how to restore a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro v1000

If the units are running slow, you can do some maintenance on them to speed them up.

First, run defragmenter on both units.(in Safe mode)

Download ScrubXP which will automatically clear your temp, cookies and TIF files.

Download CCleaner and run it.

Run your Anti-virus program: download the free version of AVG. (Great virus protection.)

Other programs to use are SpyBlaster and Winpatrol, all of which are free.
This should help, if you feel that you need to format and restore the units, youcan do so. But try this first.

SOURCE: Need to set R3000 Compacq laptop to factory settings.

Compaq? Oh, then you are going to have a hard disk partition with the recovery files, so you don't need the disks. You have made it, that's great, because in case you cannot access the hard disk, you cannot initiate a recovery without ordering recovery CDs for your model from HP.

There are a number of ways to do it.

Try pressing F9 at startup (when the Compaq or HP logo shows up), and if it doesn't work, see the key for System Recovery at the bottom of the screen. It will recover, just follow the instructions on the screen.

Also, you can insert the first disk anytime, or boot from it when you start the PC up.

Or, you can use the Recovery Manager software in the PC that is pre-installed and it will help you to do a System Recovery from the files on your recovery partition.

Please rate this answer, I badly need it.

How to restore a toshiba satellite a135-s2286 notebook without cd?

the f8 function is only to try and remedy boot problems. the recovery option you're getting is to restore if you have already made recovery discs.
if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive you should be able to access it when you boot up. before starting your laptop press and hold 0(zero) key and power on the laptop. once it starts you should get a screen with 3 options then choose option 1 to get back to factory restore.

My system Acer 7720G was reformated but i intended to restore back to factory settings. How do i restore to factory setting without the recovery disc. Thanks. Okeniyi Michael

You need to get the orignal acer installation disc which came with the laptop. That would be able to send it to default for you. Any other installation you do can't send it to the factory settings.

My son deleted windows vista from his laptop and installed linux, if I delete this and restore factory settings will he get vista back

Your best bet is to contact Fujitsu and order a set of "Recovery Discs". If he installed Linux, chances are the Restore Partition (which allows you to bring it back to Factory Defaults) is no longer accessible in any way. Recovery Discs will allow you to reinstall Vista and the necessary drivers.

Restore to factory settings

Hello,

If you want to go back to the factory settings. First you must check if you have the recovery disc provided by you're laptop manufacturer. There is an instructions included on the CD case. Also, some models of laptops has a HDD recovery partition, where in you won't need a recovery disc. Some laptops to enter setup, you may press F12 and select the HDD and it will enter the recovery partition. Try to check for your recovery disc or the key to enter the setup for your laptop brand.

Hope this helps.

I have a hp notebook and need to reset it to its factory settings, i dont have an external disc drive so cannot use recovery discs, how do i reset it or what button do i need to press

Most of the HP laptops have inbuilt recovery partition. We need to create recovery discs using this partition. We can even restore the notebook to factory settings using recovery manager.
Even the sony laptops have inbuilt recovery partitions.

Hi,

Providing the laptop was built after 2005 then there should be a recovery partition on the laptop.

Turn the laptop on and repeatedly press the F10 key, this should get you into the recovery partition and allow you to factory restore the laptop.
