Jabsco electric toilet won't flush

I ahve a Bayliner Ciera with a Jabsco electric toilet. We were on the boat and the toilet was working fine. Moments later while cleaning the head, my wife tried to flush and it would not flush. I emptied the holding tank. Filled water holding tank. Toilet still will not flush? doesn't sound like any power comming to the toilet. Worked fine but just stopped. Any ideas?

Check the power source to toilet and all wiring conversed.

Sounds like the sensor would either be damaged or dirty or stuck up. You need to go in and mess with it or replace the sensor. Yes you are spot on sir.

the above is the link to the operators and installation manual see pages 3 and 4 this tells you how to install the inlet pipe so just reverse for removal

Jabsco toilet fails to fill

Was the toilet "Winterized" last fall? If so, have you assured that any plug in the clean water intake has been removed? If NOT -- are you sure the pump has not been frozen and internally damaged by ice? The pump is a simple device which rarely fail unless its inlet is blocked, or the pump seals or body are damaged - usually by freezing.

Jabsco model 37010-0090 electric head. sometimes no motor run or flush when button pressed. By turning slotted shaft on end of motor , button then activates motor and flushes.

Sounds like the motor commutator and brushes need some attention. Not a difficult job if you have been there before but it can be tricky for a novice.

Macerator assembly goes clunk when I hit the switch and at the same time the pump flushes the toilet contents. What is making the lound clunk sound, would it be a macerator assembly part?

Probably something solid stuck in the blades. If you have children then it is possible that something that is not cuttable has been flushed and is between the blades.

check the fresh water feed tank to the toilet is connected correctly and is that tank steel as it could be rusty ! ??

Toilet backs up after use. even when holding tank is empty. we only use fresh water to flush from shower nozzle. toilet is fairly new replaced by original owner.

The system does not work, as you describe, you MUST use the unit's pump lever as the intake and removal are part of it's function. Use sea water to flush, the system is designed for that.

Even though our jabsco toilet pumps are new, within two weeks, the pump is really squeaky. Anything we are not doing or any tips to have a smoother pump?

dismantle the pump and put some waterresistant grease on the o-ring of the pump, problem solved
