The scanner feeds the documnet half way then stops, the CaptureOn Touch program freezes and I have to shut the computer down and resart. Cancelling doesnt help, quitting in task manager doesnt help. it says the driver is busy or the device cannot be locked, make sure another program is not trying to use the device. but I see no other software that would cause a conflict. any suggestions????
I hope there is enough hard disk space is available in the drive/volume you are attempting to send the data. Scan in TIF compressed mode, uncompressed made uses large space.
Check if there is virus on your system. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Run scandisk to optimise disk performance.

This may mean that something is using it or that something is interfering with it. Try turning everything off, your computer AND your scanner. Wait a minute or two and then turn your scanner on first and the turn your computer back on. When your computer boots back up don't open anything except the scanner. If your still getting the message then there is something else (another attached peripheral) that may be interfering with the scanner.

shutting down and restarting fixes the problem, but I have to do this every time I want to use the scanner. And I cant just restart, it has to be a complete shut down. I have deleted and reinstalled it a couple of times and I have updated the drivers
