download the nwd-b105 firmware 1.1 (google it) and once you have it connect your mp3 player to an usb port of your pc. run the firmware file you downloaded and check the "delete files" option and run the firmware. you will lose all your files but your mp3 should be functional again. remember that when you do a firmware update you must keep your mp3 connected to the pc, also a if there is for some reason a power failure you may brick your mp3 player. my mp3 player had teh same problem as yours and i fixed it this way. the reason this happens is that sometimes the antivirus delete some system files from your mp3 and thus it cant access its database causing an error and shutting down the mp3 unit. hope this helps!!

Format your Mp3 on PC by FAT32 format and copy those on your Mp3 player folder

Yo tenia este problema y esta solucionada.
Sigue los siguientes pasos.
1- Baja firmware nwz-b133f (firmware nwz-b130 v-1.01)
2- Baja firmware nwz-b103 (firmware nwz-b100 v-1.3)
3- Primero ejecutar firmware nwz-b100 , conecta tu walkman cuando
pida conectar por favor el dispositivo luego pida formatear el
dispositivo vas a perder toda la informacion has click en aceptar.
4- No desconectas tu walkman espere hasta que formateas todo y carga
todas su datos , este era necesario para el puro formato porque
el firmware nwz-b130 no lo hace.
5- Desconectas tu walkman y vas a ver que no enciende (logico no es su
firmware)
6- Ahora ejecutar firmware nwz-b130 , conecta tu walkman cuando
pida conectar por favor el dispositivo , no desconectas tu walkman
espere hasta que carga todas su datos.
7- Cuando termina desconecta tu walkman de manera segura.
8- Listo como nuevo.
