Even though my pc was set to DMZ port 80 was still in use for the web-interface. I've changed the router web admin port to 81 and now it is fine.

Try resetting your router by pressing the reset button at the back. If that doesn't work, see if you can reinstall the firmware using a different method than using the modem interface. Did the manufacturer supply a CD with the modem? Maybe you can use that to install firmware as well.

SOURCE: I have a TP-Link TL-WR941ND

Can you kindly let me know the settings on your modem and router. Whether they are connected via using bridging mode or ppoe mode. In order to find this simply enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser and enter user id as admin and password as admin and hit enter. In advanced lan settings just click on first right hand side edit button and click next and see wether ppoe is selected or bridging is selected in order to ascertain the ip of wifi modem simply click on start button when connected to internet via wifi modem and select run type cmd and hit enter in the black window type tracert www.google.com wait for few seconds the first ip in the list will be your modems ip. use the same method as described above to find which way is it connected to server bridging or ppoe.

SOURCE: I am using two WAN

I'm a user 4 the same load balance product, your 2 ADSL lines must have difrent IP with difrent submask than the IP you assigned 4 TP Link-TL R480t+ (10.0.1.1 in Ur case), lets say 1st line connected to the Line through a Dlink router has an IP 192.168.1.1, this will be WAN1, its config will be as follows:
WAN Port: WAN1
WAN Connection type: Static IP
IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Defult Gateway: 192.168.1.1
MTU Size : 1500
Pri DNS: (add the DNS here)
Sec DNS : (add the DNS here)

the second line shuld be the same way with difrent IP & difrent subnet (for example IP=192.168.2.2, Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0 - for the router connected to the 2nd line IP 192.168.2.1 which will be the defult gatteway for WAN2)
hope this answers your question

SOURCE: disable Nat TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND

yeap it should be the firewall, here is the manual http://www.tp-link.com/resources/software/201161017075118.pdf
think this should help you.
But if you want my expertise, make the tp-link as a router and vdsl just the internet line. connect it to router wan and buy a switch for all your devices. That should be the safest and smartest way.

Testimonial: "Hi, I've finally found some time to test the dissabling the FW and I can say that in my case it helped. I can see now from TP-LINK IP cameras connected to the VDSL modem/router. Well done guys, thank you for your help. Kvinar"

How can I open the page

Locate your router. There should be a label which displays your default gateway. The Default gateway displays a number. It should show a number like
  • 192.168.0.1
  • 192.168.1.1
  • 10.0.0.1
Open your browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, ETC..) Type the default gateway number into the search engine text box on top of the screen press enter or return (mac). The page should now show user name and password. Locate the router and locate the default credentials. For example. most routers requires the user name to be blank and the password is password. Routers very.

About obtaining an IP address. Routers are usually set to option the IP address automatically unless you manually set a static IP address which is not recommended.

Trying to Open NAT type

Hello,
To open the NAT type you first need to have the IP add of the device you want to open ports for. Once you have the IP add you have two options what you can do on your router.
1) Call the vendor of the device you want the NAT to be changed for and ask them to give you "Ports". Once you have the ports you can login to the router interface and open these ports which will in turn change the NAT settings. 2) If the above step doesn't work you can put the IP address (device) and put it in DMZ on the router. This will keep the router under the firewall of the router which has worked many number of times.
If the above two steps didn't work you could disable the firewall on the router.
Hope this helped.

Nat help

Hi jman92592,

Here are some options with that router. Some online games and videoconferencing applications are incompatible with NAT. The WGR614 router is programmed to recognize some of these applications and to work properly with them, but there are other applications that may not function well. In some cases, one local PC can run the application properly if that PC’s IP address is entered as the default in the PORTS Menu. If one local PC acts as a game or videoconferencing host, enter its IP address as the default

To set up an additional computer to play games like Half Life, KALI or Quake III:
1.Click the button of an unused port in the table.
2.Select the game again from the Service Name list.
3.Change the beginning port number in the Start Port box. For these games, use the supplied number in the default listing and add +1 for each additional computer. For example, if you've already configured one computer to play Hexen II (using port 26900), the second computer's port number would be 26901, and the third computer would be 26902.
4.Type the same port number in the End Port box that you typed in the Start Port box.
5.Type the IP address of the additional computer in the Server IP Address box.
6.Click Apply

The WAN Setup options let you configure a DMZ server, change the MTU size and enable the router to respond to a Ping on the WAN port.

Connect Automatically, as Required

  • Normally, this option should be Enabled, so that an Internet connection will be made automatically, whenever Internet-bound traffic is detected. In locations where Internet access is billed by the minute, if this causes high connection costs, you can disable this setting.
  • If disabled, you must connect manually, using the sub-screen accessed from the Router Status menu "Show WAN Status" screen.

•Disable SPI Firewall

  • Normally, this option should be Enabled, so that your local network will be protected by the Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall included in the WGR614. However, certain communications functions like VPN may require turning off the SPI feature.
Setting Up a Default DMZ Server

  • The default DMZ server feature is helpful when using some online games and videoconferencing applications that are incompatible with NAT. The router is programmed to recognize some of these applications and to work properly with them, but there are other applications that may not function well. In some cases, one local PC can run the application properly if that PC’s IP address is entered as the default DMZ server.
Note: DMZ servers pose a security risk. A computer designated as the default DMZ server loses much of the protection of the firewall, and is exposed to exploits from the Internet. If compromised, the DMZ server can be used to attack your network.

The WAN Setup menu, shown below lets you configure a Default DMZ Server.

  • To assign a computer or server to be a Default DMZ server, follow these steps:
1.Click WAN Setup link on the Advanced section of the main menu.
2.Type the IP address for that server. To remove the default DMZ server, replace the IP address numbers with all zeros.
3.Click Apply.

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.

Thanks Mark

Opening the NAT connection for Xbox 360 working through 2 routers

  1. How do you connect your Linksys router to Belkin router? Do you connect your Linksys router to the Internet/WAN port of the Belkin?
  2. If so, what is the Internet connection type set in your Belkin router? Is it dynamic?
  3. If the Belkin router is set to dynamic IP and if it is obtaining an IP address from your Linksys router(you may check the status page of your Belkin router and look for IP address), then you may need to forward or set that IP address as the DMZ to your Linksys router. Make sure that XBOX is still configured as the DMZ host in your Belkin
