My vacumn won't pick or suction up and bag is not full. I cleaned out the hose checked and belt running I have no other answer please help. It's an upright lux guardian

The output filter on that unit is HEPA and traps all particles. You need to clean or replace that filter because the airflow cannot leave through it and it wont develop suction.

It starting to put out a hot type smell. I have tried cleaning the filters real well and even tried to see if there was problem with the ozone filter. We have checked and could not find a jam. I know...

Hi,

The hot smell could be from the belt or the motor. Turn it on for a moment, turn it off, then flip it on its side and smell the belt that drives the brush. If that is where the smell is coming from, then your belt is burning up.
FirsYou'll have to replace it. Be sure there is nothing rubbing on it like debris picked up and stuck. But, even if you do find something stuck in it, you'll still have to replace it since it's burning.

If the smell comes from the motor, do not run it anymore. That will have to be serviced.

Can you get a belt? I can look up a place online for you if you need to order one. Just provide your make and model.

I hope this works. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

My vacuum will not pick up even fuzz on the carpet

If the suction is strong through the hose and its still not picking up, then something is definately clogged despite the strong suction and rolle brush. Check all inspection tubes including the main dirt channel behind the roller brush. You may find something that keeps getting in the way when dirt or hair is trying to bypass through.

Hoover Savvy has limited suction when cleaning the floor and carpet

With the unit standing upright, double check the clear plastic air passages on the sides of the vacumn to see if they are clogged.

No suction

have u checked all of the filters. I know that when not all the filters r clean the machine will turn on but then it will sound louder and still have no suction. Most times there is a filter under dirt container thats sits above motor and if this filter is not clean the motor cannot breath. Thus no suction

Low suction

Is the suction low at the tank after you disconnect the hose? If it is strong there, then the hose may be clogged. You can unhook the hose from the wands to see if you have suction or not. If you do, then look further down all the way to the brush roll. The other possible is if no clogs, check the filters, on the E series, there is a filter on the back, there is some also had one in the top and you would have to take it apart to get to it. One other is that the motor is not running at top speed and may have to be replaced. It can sound ok, but will have reduced suction. If you suspect the motor, check your owner manual, some of these newer ones had a long warr. period on the motor.
