Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

How do I connect with wifi my Lumix DC vario to my Macbook Air so I can download images?

To be able to put something on a computer setting up a connection a;one is not enough. It is like connecting a cable. If you don't have a program to get the pictures from the connected device it newer will work.
Always first install the software, then connect the device. Like with an USB cable and device. Check if Panasonic put some software on the disk that came with the camera.
Perhaps even the software to manage your pictures (over USB) will work.

How do I print date on each luminx DC vario picture?

Welcome to FixYa,

In order for you to have a date printed on your picture, we need to verify first what is the exact brand and model name of luminx DC.

Since I dont have the exact model name and brand of your luminx camera. I have here a manual of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100K. In this manual, you can find on page 55 on how to set up the date and time in which day of the vacation you take the picture. You can also have the DATE STAMP option where you can print the date on the picture. You can found it on page 82.

I gave this manual to you because some panasonic luminx digital cameras has sometimes same features. You just have to click on this link.

I hope this manual can help you on your issues.

Thank you for using FixYa.
