It sounds like the paper jam is in the fixing assembly, and you can not access it unless you take it to a service center for canon products.

I meant to say.. You can access it but you need to know what you are doing, The fixing assembly is accessed buy removing the screws and plastic panel at the exit, then remove the platen glass slide platen cover over about half way then where the flex cable is under glass remove plastic cover to access a small hole through which a long screw driver will fit to release a screw holding the fixing assembly in place, then remove the other screws holding the assembly which are near the exit, remove connectors and that will free up assembly.

The copier says rec paper jam slide left platen? what do i do ?

On the slide there is a handle. This releases the top reader port of the copier, move it to the left. Raise right side cover and remove the drum cartridge unit. You should see the jammed paper there, at the right lower access door, or in the fuser where the paper should come out. Just reverse the procedure to reset the jam. If the copier still indicates the jam then it must be in the fuser. You will have to have a technician remove the fuser assembly from the copier and take apart the unit to remove the jam. Hope this helps.
