I wane to replace battery on my navigon gps

wrong battery , sellers on ebay lie about them.
many have no clue at all
so only buy the battery stated in your users manual
by technology type , and voltage, cell counts. (and phyical sizes and form factor)
Asus A6R is a note book PC.
the pack is custom sized (phy) snap in battery pack module.
the tech is rechargeable lithium with 8 cells (series /parallel conn)
3.7v per cell.
capacity 4400 mAh , 14.8V charged.

learn not laptops charge.
the charger is not in the power AC pack at all
it is a chip on the mobo of the PC. main board.
so there are 3 parts.
1: the DC /AC power park. warm never proves charging works.
2; the charge CHIP on mobo
3: and the batter, so never have just 1 battery so you know what is wrong, and AVOID NOS.

AND 10.8 Divided by 3.7 is 2.8 cells, how can that happen?, easy reading typo's online. and is bogus. sorry

yes as long as it's the same voltage its fine

check the mhr on the batteries you use
they should be re-chargeable batteries as alkaline batteries do not have what it takes and run down very quickly
the re-chargeable battery should be around the 2000 mhr rating

No, I believe the Apple 4 has a Lithium Poly battery and the Galaxy has a lithium ion battery. They are also different sizes and the Apple 4 is 1420 mAh and the Galaxy 2 is 1800 mAh.

Two years is actually pretty good for a rechargeable battery in regular/constant use.
Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries have around 500 recharge cycles and then will loose capacity very quickly as for your unit.

This internal Li-Ion battery will now need to be replaced.

1. Order a new battery. http://www.all-battery.com/ It was LG Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 2400 mAh Rechargeable Battery with Tabs. Original battery is 1,800 mAh so the replacement should last longer.
2. Take the screen cover (faceplate) off and unscrew 4 screws. You will need small Philips head screwdriver.
3. Pull off the front of the GPS. Be carefull with the GPS antenna. Make sure you remember its position so it is easier for you to assemble it later.
4. Unscrew 2 small screws holding metal battery retainer strip. The battery is behind it. Pull battery out and disconnect it from the board.
5. Cut the heat shrink tube the battery is in and de-solder the joint.
6. Solder new battery. A small 15W soldering iron will do the job perfectly. Make sure not to overheat the battery.
7. Insulate the solder joints.
8. Put the new battery inside a heat shrink tube. You can get it from HomeDepot. It is ¾ inch diameter.
9. Use a heat source (I used a gas lighter) to “shrink” the tube. Again be careful not to overheat the battery as it may explode.
10. Put battery back into instrument and screw the metal band back onto the battery.
11. Assemble everything back together.

*NOTE* Lithium Ion batterys do not take heat well. Leaving your GPS unit on the dash on hot sunny days will decrease its expected lifespan.

unfortunally it's a bad camera, better to buy a new one with AA batteries.
