About a week ago our WD-60735 Mitsubishi tv began acting up. The remote isn't working nor the front panel controls. If I do a system reset it will work for a minute then won't anymore. In the last couple of days it has begun changing channels and lowering the volume by itself. I did a self diagnoses and came up with code 12 which is nothing wrong. Any help would be greatly apreciated.
How to reset MOST Mitsubishi WD model remote controls:
Set the slide switch to TV position.
(2)
Press and hold the POWER button until it
(3)
flashes twice then release the button.
(3)
Enter the code 0 0 9 3 5.
This set has aside from the recessed front reset two more done with the Mitsubishi remote.
The soft reset "should" be with set on Menu, 1,2,3, enter
The hard reset requires a 4 digit number code and is based on model number and also done with the Mitsubishi remote--try to see if soft reset works at all on this model.

Check owner / operator manual for "panel lock" selection or
go through menu pages until you spot it........
This selection is made so guests or children cannot operate tv.
In case this suggestion fails, you might try hard reset = unplug
AC cord overnight,then try again...........T.

Check to make sure the channel down button is not stuck. If it is not the button is probably defective. Mits has had a lot of problems with the buttons.

Are there any lights lit on the front of the TV? Have you checked for a bad lamp? When you reset the TV the timer/power light should flash on and off rapidly for 60-70 sseconds. Does that happen?
