transLated: How to know if the p4m800-m7a board supports various types of processor, 2005 MOBO RELIC. XP ERA.
What types of processors are supported.
ask them only they know this,(OOPS THEY FORGOT) they check it in there bios too so bios must be current to allow maximum CPU choices. the maker does not support antique MOBO now. this mobo was made in 8 versions !, which is yours? this is VIA chip set relic, no OS supports that now modern. P4 is the CPU and Old Pentium D socket 775 only. CPU, M7A LAYOUT. BIOSTAR ENDED SUPPORT, (ASK THEM YET?)(gone)
HERE IS THE MASTER LIST (MEANS PURE LOGIC)
click 775 then click Pentium D this is the AMD chip logic list not what 2005 year bios allows, (lost now that)
There is only drivers for windows xp.
You can try the driver
aslong its 32 bit system you are running.
Try to select the compatible mode when you install the driver.
this motherboard supports the following LGA775 socket for Intel Pentium 4/ Celeron D/ Pentium D processor FSB 800/533 MHz so anything above that might not work or just simply be a waste of money
the e5700 will fit as it's the same socket configuration as the motherboard but here's the rub, the 5700 is only compatible with motherboards that have intel chipsets and, according to the website, your motherboard doesn't have an intel cjipset, but a via chipset.
Intel Pentium 4, Celeron D and Pentium D processor
FSB 800/533 MHz
Support Hyper-Threading Technology
Also says Dual Core support

Hi there. Your board is a socket 775, also called Socket T or LGA775, is a Land Grid Array (LGA)
socket used for the most
recent generations of desktop Intel microprocessors starting from
Pentium 4 and up to Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Extreme families. The socket
LGA775 supports Intel CPUs from 1.8 to 3.8 GHz with Front-Side Bus
frequencies ranging from 533 MHz to 1600 MHz. Its up to you which type of processor you get but now you have the general idea.
hi im josh in cebu phils. may i help you? not open or no boot. If it doesn't boot or power on and no prsence of current on your pc. The main problem is motherboard. it may be no current is running on the board.because the supply chord was lost or not enough supply to make the motherboard execute.check if your power cable 16 pins is connected and the 4 pins 12 volts power support.if it loosen thats the problem. Sometimes the compatibility of your processor and the mainboard is needed.if both of these is for the first time check the compatibility of the mainboard and the processor in your support manual. good luck!
Microsoft has a program that will run on your current PC. It will check & confirm if your system can handel Vista. It will also show you what is not compatible with Vista. It will check every piece of hardware including your board & even your printer if it's connected & turned on.
It's a must use program for people who are thinking of installing Vista.
