I have 3 vertical lines and dbl images on the lower right corner but I changed the t-con but it still does could it be my power supply ,i ordered the three sub power supplies or should I order the main power supply to fix it?

Before order the main power regulator board, check all the electrolytic capacitors in i. If you see any bulged [Top side], capacitors, they are damaged. Repalce them with same ratings.

If the line is present in all inputs and modes, there is a problem with the LCD Panel. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD Panel which is very expensive (usually around $1000+ for 40" Sony). Unless the TV in under warranty, it is usually around the same price for a new TV.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the response. The service company Sony recommended told me it was probably the screen, too, and they quoted $1000."

SOURCE: sony bravia kdl-52w3000, turn tv on, no picture or

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.

To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

i have the same problem, apparently the LCD panel needs to be replaced and this will cost more than the tv is worth... Advice is to not buy a sony again, because this is a common problem and they wont extend the warranty, even if its 2 weeks after it runs out...

SOURCE: 12 little horizontal lines in Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100

we have the same exact tv and it is not even a year old. we are told that it is the display panel and it is a well known problem with this tv. we were also told that there is a shortage of these parts. they had 283 on order, but only received 35. you need to call sony and tell them that you have this problem. they should warranty this for you even if your tv is 3 months past the warranty period. since this is a well known problem with this tv, keep on them.

Testimonial: "It in fact was a part of the lcd panel...the t-con board. I was able to research it and bought a box of parts off of a tv like mine and fixed it. Ron"

Hi I have an old school solution for your problem with your tv. Hit it!!!!! When you turn on your tv, go to it and lightly tap on the middle of the left frame. You should see it affect your screen. Do it until your screen is perfect. Hope it works.

I have a sony lcd kld-46w3000. The power light is on, but the screen is still black with no audio sound.

Reseat all cables including the signal cable.

Test the screen by pressing MENU on the remote. This will let you see if the issue is with the signal.

If the menu appears, reprogram the channels.
