You said that the control board on rear of your refrigerator was replaced and there is still nothing happening? You do need to check the power behind the refrigerator to make sure there is power, yes. When did the control board get replaced and was it new?. Sea Breeze.

Probably the condenser fan motor is going out they will often make noise for a long time before anyone notices. Get it looked at soon. overheating the compressor on that old of a fridge could spell trouble.

GE fridge model GSL25JFPABS -- freezer side is cold (below 0) but refrigerator side too warm (high 40s).

Bring the refrigeration engineer back to fix the repair under warranty. That can't have been a cheap bill.

I have a GE refrigerator model # GSL25JFPABS. I have been told that the main control board WR55X10656 has been "replaced" by # WR55X10942 now. However I found a 656 board pretty cheap locally and...

WR55X10942 is the board that goes into that machine,it's the most up to date board out there, why would you put a first generation board in there that you know is gonna fail when they upgraded it to the WR55X10942 and that's the board it calls for now so don't put the other board in there

I have a GE Model #GSL25JFPABS fridge. My freezer has been frosting up for quite some time with the ice cubes melting a bit and freezing together. Recently the fridge side has also been warming once in a...

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
How to check everything
http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

The water dispenser in my frig stopped working but it still makes lots of ice. I replaced the filter on 29 Dec 2007. I normally get 6 months out of a filter.

We had same problem! The water line gets frozen in the door, and there is no way to get to it. But, I took some 14 gauge electrical wire and would get one end hot by putting it under hot water, then put that end up the water line in the door. This might take several attempts, but it will work. A little piece of ice about 2 inches long will come out.

GE Ice dispencer not working properly

for a very informative video on trouble shooting your refrigerator http://gei.portals.streamos.com/cc/channel.php?emcid=1416&empid=4533&packageid=0000

I had the problem with no water or ice dispenced and the lights dim when dispencer is used and the refrigerator compresser stops after using the dispencer and had to unplug and reset unit. GE DID NOT WARANTY IT. I bought a new motherboard for about $88 and fixed my problem. As the video shows there can be other problems that will cause some of these symptoms but not all at once. My frige was only 2 years old when this happened.
