My acer latop restarted itself last night and since all im getting ia a black screen with a flashing icon, can anyone help?
The hard drive has issues, or windows files have been corrupted, Remove hardware from the laptop and reseat it back in place, sometimes this is enough to get it started, if no change! do a operational install with the cd installation disc, if this fails the hard drive should be assessed for replacement.

When I try to watch a video from the internet in full screen mode after 10 or 15 seconds the screen will go black but i will still get the audio. It only happens with videos from the internet not windows media player. How can i fix it?

By the sounds of it you've install an update that could have gone wrong. i'm not sure if it's the same with all acers but it might be keep pressing F8 and try logging into windows via through safemode if you can't do this then you could have corrupted some stuff on the motherboard and i would contact Acer customer support

When you hit F2 it takes you to the BIOS menu, and that's where you should go and while in there go to Boot, and using arrow keys select the one that says IDE WDC and move it with F6 to position 1. Then press F10 and select Yes. Restart and it should work. Post back if still having trouble.
