Free motion quilting with the Singer 3343

I attached a darning foot to my singer 3343, however, it doesn't seem to lift with the foot, so it is impossible to move the fabric over seams. The manual shows darning without a darning (free motion) foot. Does this machine not support a darning foot or have I attached it incorrectly?

SOURCE: I have a singer 3343c

the presser foot only holds the fabric against the feed dogs in the needle plate area

check the feed dogs to see if there in the up position

if not there should be a nob in the feed dog area to move them up & down

on some models when you remove the extension table the nob is at the back

You have to unscrew the presser foot, then attach the WF, using the same screw.

Make sure the lever on the WF rests on top of the needle bar clamp.

Some WF have a two prong lever and this fits around the needle clamp like a lobster claw.

I have a Singer Talent 3321 and i am having a difficult time finding the correct pressure foot for quilting on this machine.

Are you doing free-motion quilting or piecing? The Talent 3321 uses the Singer Low-shank presser feet. If you are doing free-motion quilting, use the darning/embroidery foot. For piecing, use the 1/4" foot. See https://www.singeronline.com/3321talent.html . If you are quilting in straight lines, you might consider the walking foot. The original part numbers are shown in the manual under the Optional accessories on page 9 (page 16 of the PDF). The manual is available on the product page: https://www.singer.com/Talent-3321-Sewing-Machine . The direct link to the manual is currently https://manuals.singer.com/Manuals/RetrievePDF/971 . Other sources with the presser feet in stock are https://www.sewingparts.co.uk/machines/clip-on2/singer-3321.html and https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/singer-3321-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?index=39 .

I hope this helps.

I love my 3321 talent. my question is i want to free motion quilt. how do i lower the bottom feeder feet so i can more my fabric freely.

To use the Talent 3321 for free-motion sewing, you do not lower the feed dogs. Instead, put the darning plate over the feed dogs. This darning plate was among the original accessories included with the machine. If you need a replacement, one source is https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/darning-plate-singer-416223901.aspx .

Most Singer Sewing machine manuals are available here: https://www.singer.com/support . The direct link to the manual for the Singer Talent 3321 is currently here: https://www.singer.com/sites/default/files/product_manual/SINGER%203321%20TALENT%E2%84%A2%20Sewing%20Machine.pdf . The use of the darning plate is shown on page 37 (sewing on buttons) and page 46.

I hope this helps.

Does the 4562 singer deluxe freearm electronic speed control 32 stitch function come with a freemotion foot and do the feeddogs drop?

Most machines include a "darning" foot, which is the equivalent of a free motion foot. However, there are multiple choices of free motion feet that can be purchased elsewhere which are made of various materials, in different shapes, and also with springs to create bounce--just something to consider, but not necessary.

Your machine should either have the ability to drop the feed dogs, or a cover plate that snaps over the feed dogs to prevent them from contacting the fabric when free motion quilting.

Your manual should have information as to what is included.

What is the drop feed lever on a singer 4206/4212 machine

You don't use the drop feed unless you have a darning foot. It's used mostly for free-motion quilting.
This is a long tutorial, but good.

What darning foot will fit on a singer confidence 7463 for free motion quilting?

Yours is a low shank machine, and that is the most common type for newer machines of any manufacturer. eBay and Amazon both offer low-shank darning feet; I recommend the metal one with a metal large circular foot. That's my favorite, and I bought mine for $6.50 including shipping from eBay.

You will have to remove the adapter for the clip on presser feet to use the darning foot - http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/pd60-4021.php same as you would to use the walking foot.
